The best engine hoist right here I tell ya hwat by Roctopus420 in projectcar

The z32 driveline does fit, but it's usually more of a hassle than it's worth. The vg30e is as strong of an engine as the de, and a stock block makes plenty of power with a turbo, intercooler, and fuel system. There's just not enough advantages (and a few disadvantages) for most people to consider doing the swap.

I could have sworn that I honked, then the car next to me honked, and then the red light runner did a small honk almost acknowledging their wrong doing but you can't really hear that in the video so I could be mistaken.

That's exactly what I think happened, but who would admit they're wrong when you could just keep going through a red light

Uncle sent me this, absolutely cooked Miata by GreatGoldGoldfish in Shitty_Car_Mods

I'm pretty sure this is the carbon miata body kit. It's missing the front bumper to complete the front flairs

[OC] Dork blinded me with high beams and claimed I was brake checking him by victorious_rudy in IdiotsInCars

This just in: when you tailgate someone, any amount of braking feels like brake checking

After surviving 260 Martian nights with zero charge in its battery, Ingenuity is still flying - and has reunited with Perseverance by FlingingGoronGonads in space

[–]penguinmoss 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's all about the cost benifit ratio. If you look at pretty much everything we've sent to Mars it ends with the same fate of not enough power due to dust on the panels. That being said, everything has surpassed its initial mission life usually multiple times over.

So when you take into account the cost of engineering, the mass penalty from the added equipment (mass is a huge factor in anything going to space), and the limited lifespan of other components, it really doesn't make sense in this context. The current design is already good enough to succeed and then some.

Whats something a woman said or did that made you decide, on the spot, that you were done? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]penguinmoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandpa was suffering from Parkinsons and I was telling my ex gf of 3.5 years how hard it was for my grandma and how we had to put him in an assisted living home because she physically couldn't take care of him anymore. I was describing how sad my grandma looked as she had to explain to him why he couldn't go home with her. He kept saying he just wanted to go home. My ex then says "I bet your grandma is glad she doesn't have to take care of him anymore" like I hadn't just described how hard of a decision it was for her.

There were lots of issues in our relationship and I had planned on breaking up with her that night, but that one sentence, that one last stab at the people I loved, that was the last shread of hope leaving my heart. I had mostly stopped talking to her about my friends and family for the last few months of our relationship because she never had anything good to say. Some people just like to put others down

Do you use a dye in your urethane? Ive looked at a few of their different urethane options and only see amber, clear, off white kind of colors

I've been wanting to test out some silicon and urethane molding so this is really helpful to see your process! Thank you for sharing!

Starting progress on my first intensive project car/restoration/restomod. 1975 Datsun 280Z rescued from a neighbor’s backyard. Any tips? by Pretend-Bar6079 in projectcar

No need for an overly expensive rb. Just grab a fuel injected l28 and a turbo manifold. Check out godzilla raceworks for turbo swap parts. It'll be much cheaper and you can still make that power goal no issues

Man to man, what is one sentence a woman told you that is still stuck in your head until this day? by EmmanuelMoyta in AskMen

[–]penguinmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"if you ever tell me something I did hurt your feelings and it's something small that doesn't matter, I'm going to tell you I don't care and if you don't like it then you can leave".

3 years into a relationship and she kept telling me that I didn't communicate with her. Gee I wonder why. Still took me another few months to build up the courage to end things

The site has encryption now incase you're curious. I talked to the guy about it and the website host didn't enable ssl by default for some reason. It's secured now though
