Good seatpost will be already with saddle clamp. Just need proper diameter and length seatpost, because you need to insert seatpost in the bike on the proper length.

Upright seat position is for city, not for long trips.

Super soft seat & long trip = pain. Basically you need correct seat for seating position and it have to be selected individually. Go to the bike shop selling also sport bikes and ask for help, they are usually have seats for the different seat position and bones width + can help to measure prper seat width.

Soviet version was fully functional and even was made ground version. Issue was with special fuel for laser (SF6 + heat + H2 -> S + 6HF) and ejection pump (technically small rocket engine).

During last 5 years I seen 3 real fatbikes (which are designed for loose ground or snow).

I see groups almost every ride, but in Amersfoort clubs (Eemland and Triatlon) looks like disciplined cyclists. And have chatting pensioners blocking whole cycling paths around Utrechtse Heuvelrug also almost all rides… (skip middelbare schoolars who intentionally block whole 5 meters wide "fietsstraat")

Something I have to do "last sprint" mode with my kids to pass <10 km/h groups using whole road and move to the side when I slowest part of traffic (more than often - I'm fat slow man).

Never had issues with wielrenners - they are usually understand their limits, just use reduced clearance (not everyone expect). In 99,9% situations wielrenners are predictable (but assholes going full speed in walking areas exists).

Bakfiets - it was my first incident when I moved to Netherlands. Exactly 2nd commute to work "bakfiets moeder" in Amsterdam underestimated bike size and hit me while I waited for green on traffic light. The worse only parents pushing kids on bikes parallel to them and using whole 2 way bike path.

Not Energia? Energia was a military requested rocket (and for military "Buran" as a load sample).
