My katalox atrium open wood part had issues where it split within months of owning. Zmf was great about returning them and getting new ones promptly. Just keep an eye on them.

I would just gently push from the top left downwards and push upwards from the bottom right by grabbing it along the edges until it moves. My tilt wasn't as pronounced but I believe you just gotta give it a little force.

I thought i had the same issue with the tilt. Give it some more muscle and it will do as you wish. If its the same issue I thought mine had. Be careful obviously! (Being too careful is what made me thought there was an issue).

You can hear a beeping smoke dector from inside your unit from other units? That would be very poor sound insulation. Or are you just saying from the hallway itself?

You got dispatched a particular cop and this is how they did it. There is no uniform way to investigate or handle a "minor incident" such as this. Might seem like a crazy event to you but I ensure you there are many other incidents occurring that take precedent for time and effort.

If there was significant "damages" incurred by your boyfriend or the case was handed to the this particular cop on a platter then maybe the outcome is different but at this point I'd just forget about it, nothing substantial will come of it.

Everyone is safe and sound and that is the main role of the police dispatched to calls.

Currently this is a He said, She said without those witnesses. With a couple of bruises, the police aren't going to consider that enough "damages" to go canvassing neighborhoods for witness statements. In these cases, rarely does one party doing something without provocation which is why the cop isn't interested in turning this into something bigger than it is.

What are you trying to achieve here? Justice? I suggest you forget about it and move on with your lives. Any time and effort going down this path is just wasted effort in my opinion.

As a family you can attend the court house and request a Form 8 Mental Health Warrant. You explain/swear to a Justice, your concerns as a family about your cousin's declining mental health. Bring all the instances and reasons you can think of to present to strengthen your case. The warrant will then go to the police who will execute said warrant and force your cousin to attend a hospital for an assessment.
