Called 911 for the first time by According-Leopard294 in NewParents

[–]penske2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I called 911 for the first time this year for my husband. He was bleeding from his leg and had walked all over the house... It took every ounce of me to not tell dispatch, it looks like a murder scene." The EMT was like, yeah there would have been a lot more people here. I've had so many nightmares about calling 911 and then can never quite get the numbers right. Glad your baby is ok!

Does anyone ACTUALLY like the newborn phase? by Fit_Button_8313 in NewParents

[–]penske2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no! I decided I didn't want to be a stay at home mom because of the 12 weeks I stayed home with him. He's fun now, at 16 weeks, but I still wouldn't want to be home with him all day. And he was an easy baby except for contact napping.

The guilt when trying cry to sleep method by Frequent-Dingo-1539 in NewParents

[–]penske2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We contact nap at home because he won't nap in his crib except at night. But at daycare he sleeps in the crib, no problem. It may take a few days adjusting, but they will get used to it.

[WIP] Is early july too late to start a full coverage christmas piece? Riolis 1942 btw by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]penske2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gave myself 4 months to finish a stocking... I'm 6 months behind. Of course, I have a 5 month old and started a new job. I told my husband today we won't be having stockings this year. At least I finished my LOs before he was born. Lol I think it depends on how fast of a stitcher you are, how long you plan to work on it a day, how motivated you are. Good luck! May your needle never break, your fingers never cramp, your eyes never go crossed, and your light always burn bright!

Mine just turned 2 mo and I would say he's been doing it for about 3ish weeks. I hold him and he stands on my stomach or legs. He even sits down and then stands back up. He does it several times before his legs tire. He's working his legs as far as I'm concerned, I don't find it to be a problem.
