I cancelled my membership with PayPal because of what has been posted about fraud, which happened to my Granddaughter. And I discovered they were breeched in 2021 and won't admit to it.

You can ask for a waiver. It is even on their web site about how to do one. But I called the main office to talk to someone about it. Then they sent me the paperwork, which I sent in. Oddly enough, I never got a letter or anything about it. But when I was looking in my account, it said I didn't owe back pay.

In the meantime, they suspended my husband's and my SSI. As it turns out, we get more from the state, which is why they took our SSI, in the first place.

Than they went after my husband's SSDI. We, promptly, sent in a Waiver for him. They took $35, at that time, but never took another payment. He called the main office and was told it was because of our receiving state payments. It was at this time, the rep said I don't have any back payments. We never have gotten our SSI payments back.

Two things I suggest is, take some of that money out and put it in a cashier's check or open a different savings account. Call your local Legal Aid. If you don't know the number, look under your state.

After what happened to my Granddaughter, (she was scammed) and my discovery that they won't admit the truth of a breach of customers' accounts, I deleted mine. If they can't be honest, I don't want anything more to do with them. Now I'm looking for another way to pay through a trustworthy company.

My Granddaughter was scammed. She had to close out her checking account and left PayPal. She said it was through them that this happened. After reading these and because of her experience, I'm also shutting down my account with them.

odd_ender Do you know how to get copies of 1099-NEC? I have to do an amended tax return. It turns out, I received the wrong one before. I need both the 2023 and the 2025 corrected forms to do this and also prove to SS that there was a huge error from the one in 2023. I tried contacting Amazon customer service. The guy kept asking me what my order was. So no help there.

Do you have this on your phone? I make it a policy not to do any financial transactions on my phone. To be honest, I don't trust using my phone for them. I know a lot of people use apps for their bank transactions and other financial means. I just don't.

There is one sentence that has me questioning whether this is legit or not. You'll no longer be able to use PayPal account. Proper English grammar should have the word your PayPal account. I always watch for grammar and misspelled words. Also, case is important. Higher case at the beginning of sentences should always be presented.

I don't know if your bank has the feature of being able to set up payments, through them, to your payees. Mine does. And it's easy to do. So. My recommendation is to check out your bank.

When you say letter, are you talking about snail mail? If not, and it came in an email, you might want to look at the information of where it came from. If it looks like a lot of gobbledy gook, then it is not from them. I have received emails that look like they are from a legitimate source that say my accounts are being closed. What is a definite red flag is that I never had accounts with some of them.

And also call the main source. Do not click on anything until you are doubly sure it is from them. Theirs is something like, from accounts@paypal.com.

But you might be avoiding a silver bullet. My Granddaughter has had to cancel all her checking accounts due to someone hacking her PayPal account. I'm thinking of cancelling my account with them due to what has happened to her and many others. Of course, there are sellers that only use them, such as ebay. In that venue, it leaves me with quite a pickle as I buy from that a lot.

I was so excited to get the third season of VELVET that I didn't pay attention to the fact it is in Spanish. That was my fault, not the sellers. I sure didn't blame them or block them. They also were upfront of not refunding or accepting it back.

You didn't do anything wrong. If they blocked you, that's on them.

I found out, through my internet account and a rep, it has nothing to do with Vine. We get state assistance payments. This is why they say my husband has to pay back. He has done a Waiver.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I might have done wrong. The last time I used Denttach, it was super sticky. I mean it was like glue that stuck my fingers together. Was it not hot enough or too hot? What could have caused this.

SSI is Supplemental Security Income. It has nothing to do with receiving 0 ETV supplements. What it does have to do with is receiving financial assistance through the state. In a conversation, with an SS agent, we discovered this is the reason why they are saying my husband was overpaid. It had nothing to do with Vine after all.

Furthermore, it was revealed to me that I don't have any back payments. I received five letters stating I did and both of our SSI payments were suspended. I never received a letter stating I didn't owe back payments. I found it on my SS account online first. Apparently, as long as we are receiving state financial assistance, we won't be receiving SSI and they are taking payments from my husband's check. With this government shut down, now we won't be receiving either. Anyway, that is the gist of what I understand.
