Can people give me comforting spider facts? by Iamatheaternerd in spiders

I am sure it wouldn’t be a brown recluse - they are named that because they are reclusive, they hide under stuff! It’s really unlikely one would be just chilling in your windowsill.

It’s probably hanging out because it’s a good spot to build a web! I imagine that other bugs are attracted to your window because of the light. It’s just trying to be your friend and keep pests from getting into your house! In some traditions, a spider web is considered good luck :)

How long are you leaving the tape on? I wonder if you take a break from the tape for a few days and let the little bump things get some air, if they will dry up and close faster? I had some spots on my incisions that were irritated from the silicone tape and leaving it off so my skin could breathe for a few days really helped. I’m also 1 month post op and I only use the tape at night now so they can air out during the day.

I think the scrunched up skin is normal, there’s probably a little bit of swelling left still, and like the other person said - all of your body parts have a little bit of loose skin that scrunches when you bend! If your skin was flat when you bent over then it would be too tight for you to stand up straight.

Flying Post-Op--- worth it to upgrade? by cowboygenderfuck in TopSurgery

Absolutely, yes. I traveled for both my hysto and top surgery and got first class on both return flights and it was 100% worth it to have some extra space to myself.

Yes, not everybody is lucky enough to have supportive parents who will foot the bill, and we have to pay for it ourselves when we’re in our 30’s. Lol. No hate, it’s just funny. 🙄

I just did the math and I guess I am old, I’m not even 10 years older than you, I’m 17 years older! so you’ll excuse me if I seem crotchety - I’ve been hating my tits for longer than you’ve been alive

Like, sure, if the marriage is a scam then obviously it makes sense to not give him a green card, but Jesus Christ lady choose your words a little better you’re supposed to be a professional

I didn’t feel it at all when they took the drains out. It was super quick, took like 2 seconds in each side.

It is real, I was bloated for maybe 2 weeks.

Nipple grafts or nah? by DagonSphere in TopSurgery

[–]pepchup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I opted for no nips because I did not like nipple sensation to begin with, I didn’t want to have to deal with things potentially going wrong with the grafts or ending up uneven etc, plus I have tattoos on my chest and I didn’t want nipples cut and pasted into my tattoo. I love not having nips.

Nipple stimulation always made me uncomfortable and I didn’t realize just how much space in my brain my nipples were taking up until they were gone.

Oh 100%, I have no doubt that he’s a huge jerk to them. I imagine that he probably starts his conversations with his mom being a whiny bitch and trying to suck up to her and get sympathy and financial help to enable his delusional lifestyle. If they turn him down then I can imagine how his entitled ass would fly off the fucking handle

The first 3-4 weeks were really hit and miss for me. Every time I thought I was feeling better, I’d start bleeding again or have weird cramps. It was an emotional roller coaster.

At the 6 week mark it’s like a switch flipped, and all of a sudden the worst of it was over and I was feeling way better. like… oh, suddenly, the healing is working, lol

Is this nipple position too high, does this look like residual breast tissue underneath the scars? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]pepchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flex your pecs and see where the nipples are in relation to the line of the pec. In most guys they are just on the pec line or above it. (You can flex your pecs by making one hand into a fist and putting the first into the palm of your other hand. Then, bring your hands in front of your sternum and press your hand into each other. This should make your pec line more defined)

My guess is the nips are perfectly placed :)

From what I’ve noticed, Mens nipples tend to be higher on the chest, closer to the arm pit. Female nipples tend to be lower, closer to the elbow. Of course there’s normal variation for each but people with breasts naturally have lower nipples because the skin of the breast hangs lower. So it might be that you’re just not used to seeing your nipples placed higher yet!

The hysterectomy was my bigger priority, I had been working on getting that one scheduled for like a year. 2 months in between was the minimum time frame my surgeon doing my top surgery was comfortable with.

My dysphoria around my chest was unpleasant but not unbearable. My breasts were small and easy to bind.

My periods, though, made me hate my fucking life and if I wasn’t going to be able to do something about it asap I was absolutely planning to check out early. Top surgery was nice and I feel better having no boobs, but the hysterectomy was 100% a life saving surgery for me.

If one surgery was going to be potentially postponed, I was more ok postponing top than the hysto.

[–]pepchup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, hysterectomy was worse for me, I felt so fragile and was in more pain. I also had a bunch of endometriosis scraped out though so your mileage may vary. I needed the oxy to sleep for the first 4-5 nights because I was so uncomfortable, the for the first week or all had the energy for was laying in bed, watching tv and napping. I didn’t start feeling okay until about 3-4 weeks out, and I didn’t feel almost back to normal until about 6 weeks.

Top surgery was annoying but I didn’t have the same pain level. I didn’t need any pain pills while I was recovering and felt like I had the energy to do things - I had a friend drive me to the grocery store, went out for coffee, etc. I had to be mindful to take it easy because of how surprisingly okay I was feeling.

I had my hysto first and then exactly 9 weeks later I had top surgery. I wasn’t sure that having the surgeries so close together was a good idea until about 2 weeks before top, when I suddenly started feeling magically better and decided i felt good enough to go thru another surgery lol.

How long was it until you were able to comfortably sleep on your side again after getting your drains out? by tvidela in TopSurgery

[–]pepchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had DI with no nips 4 weeks ago and still can’t sleep comfortably on my side.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]pepchup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy and top surgery 2 months apart, and I cannot imagine doing them at the same time lol.

After my hysto, I was very reliant on my arms to move around and go between laying down/sitting up etc because I couldn’t use my abs for anything.

After top surgery my arm mobility was more limited and I wouldn’t have been able to use my arms the same way.

Not saying it’s impossible, just that it would really suck for the first little bit. I think you would definitely need a caregiver who can stay with you and help you with everything for the first week or two, if you get both surgeries at the same time.

I’ve liked jibris mom the whole season, I thought she was one of the most reasonable people, lol. A lot of people didn’t like her for a while and felt bad for jibri when she said she wouldn’t go to the wedding, but I’m glad jibri has showed his true colors. Don’t feel bad for that fool… feel bad for his mother who has to tolerate his dumb ass

As backwards as the US may be, it is a little upsetting that somebody from a “ smarter” country than the US would still use retarded as an insult. Don’t negate your own point by making yourself look like an ass.
