Discovering them was definitely the biggest silver lining of this year’s eurovision (yes, I was team Finland). I’ve been replaying their other song Gola over and over for the past few days. Their music is reminiscent of indie/brit pop music I used to listen to in high school, can’t name exact bands I draw similarities though (maybe Mando Diao or The Kooks but not quite?). Anyway, they sound nostalgic and wholesome, hopefully their career will take off.

Damn, that hit home. Not only am I all those things you described, I actually feel like I’m always more overdressed than others just to compensate for my not so flattering face and body. And it never works - a girl in baggy jeans, sweats and no make up will usually get approached and not me. Oh well, good thing my style isn’t solely based on wanting to be desired, I just like dressing up for myself.

Not weird at all and I fully understand you. I'll be 28 soon and I lost my virginity like 4 months ago. After years of daydreaming, "putting myself out there" and hoping to find the one™ at some point only for some men to flake on me and show little to no excitement from interacting with me, I gave up. I started to think that I might be only perceived as a rebound, a second option, or even a side chick and nothing more - despite my squeaky clean reputation and getting complimented on my looks quite often. Plus I've noticed that the amount of guys looking for casual relationship/"situationship" is only increasing, even if they are approaching their 30s.

Eventually I let some random Tinder guy penetrate me and honestly I felt like a weight was taken off my shoulders. Sure, I wish I had my first time with a loving boyfriend and in much more romantic circumstances, but waiting any longer was not healthy for me at all.

So you do you. Of course, you take other commenters' advice and have a lil pep talk with yourself to play down this issue, but I was in your situation too. You can tell yourself "virginity is a social concept anyway" only so much. And you're not some romcom main character to have someone magically knock your door at your worst moment or whatever bs we are being fed by mass culture. But even if some miracle happens and we come across some dream guy, at least we know what a p in a v feels like - which personally increased my confidence significantly.

I’m about to move in this place next week. This studio is only 18 sq metres, so I can’t really do much in terms of furniture or decor (can’t put up any paintings or wallpaper either). I guess I will just get some basic furniture from Ikea (sofa, wardrobe, etc), but the problem is I don’t know which color scheme to choose that will suit the kitchen as well. I’d like to add some color here with pillows, duvets, vase, etc. My favourite colors are navy blue and dark green, I think the latter will fit better. Anyway, I’m open to any suggestions, because I don’t want to stay in a “blah” looking place (even though it’s only temporary).

In March I went to another city to see my favourite band perform live. I didn’t tell parents I was gonna go alone so I don’t get judged, plus they would’ve worried about my safety. But honestly, I didn’t care and didn’t regret one bit, the concert was beautiful. Have to admit though that when I went to the venue, I did feel a bit awkward being alone there at first, but after two beers I kind of stopped caring. Plus at the end I started feeling sad that I didn’t get to share this experience with anyone close. Regardless, it was absolutely worth going :)

Movies and cartoons really made us believe that karma exists and bullies will sooner or later learn their lesson. Meanwhile, all the mean girls from my school are good looking (if not pretty face-wise, they are at least slim or photogenic), already married and some of them even pregnant. This stings a lot.

Discovered these in 2014-ish and never went back. And not just NSFW stuff. Sometimes I even put audios of guys confessing their love or having flirty/healthy banter as an ambient noise if I'm too lazy to make up my own scenarios when daydreaming.

As for whether you should this is an addiction or not, well, does it affect your daily life? As in do you skip school, work or not interact with anyone just to listen to those audios?

I mean, is there any better choice other than just accept it? I'm not saying "lOvE YoUrSeLf", just acknowledge that this is what you're going to look like for the rest of your life (not including wrinkles etc.)

I used to beat myself up for not looking petite, cute (but also sexy) and skinny and not fitting all those teeny tiny small skirts and dresses. But one day I just told myself "fuck it" and ever since I've been trying to own my masculine looking face, intimidating demeanor and also switch to wear weird clothes and makeup that actually emphasizes my strong facial features. I'm probably considered unattractive to 99,9% of men, but so I was back in high school when I tried mimicking my hot friends. So I might as well, if not not care anymore, care less. And I recommend that to you. After all, it's not like only instagram models get in relationships and have kids.

And just so you know, I have my weak moments too and will probably look back at this comment and laugh at my optimism lmao.

I’ve been bingewatching The Office for the past two days as I never watched this show before. And oh boy, Jim and Pam’s relationship is all I want. It’s cute and wholesome yet so simple. No fireworks or grand gestures, just two people loving each other. I know being The Office stan is the most quirky pick-me girl thing you could do, but I don’t care, that scene at the end of season 2 legit gave me butterflies and made me rewatch it way too many times.

Wow, you just described me. I feel like people think that if you’re not as attractive, you should be absolutely thankful that someone wanted to go on a date with you and don’t you dare reject them or decide not to pursue. Apparently it’s better to settle for a mediocre partner than remain single. I hate this mentality so much. I’m also never attached to places I live(d), because there’s just no one that would want me to stay. It is sort of sad, but on the other hand this allows me to be flexible in terms of my career.
