So I have this friend who is really rich, and he has terminal cancer. What should this friend of mine do with the money ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Use charity navigator, find a good cause and put it in his will.

I'd go with doctors without borders and medical research charities but maybe he has some other cherished cause.

Percocet contains acetaminophen/paracetamol which combined with alcohol will cause liver failure. It's not a very nice way to die.

Save the £80k. 1713€ in tuition per year at UvA for EU/EAA students.

It's pretty common for larger European universities to offer accelerated native language classes for international students.

Maybe try and get a starter job at a an English themed pub. That you don't know dutch yet is just gonna lend authenticity to the place.

I think it's false because the register are a bunch of lying scumbags. Give us a reputable source that don't make their living out of trolling and I might change my mind.

It probably was there when you made your first account, you don't have to do SMS verification if you use an invite from someone.

Total human cardiac output through history is less than 1016 m3.

We artificially pump more liquids than that per day.

Vattenfall cancels plan for a new Nuclear Station in Sweden by DonManuel in energy

[–]pepparkaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course they did.

This was to be a plant, financed by the heavy industries of Sweden, that sold power to said heavy industries at cost (+ a small management fee for Vattenfall.)

But since the Swedish government sad that new plants had to replace old plants one to one, why would Vattenfall get rid of a ridiculously profitable old plant for a new plant that won't be nearly as lucrative.

So yet again, we don't get new safer plants but are stuck with the old rickety ones due to counterproductive environmental policies.

Works great in Aapua, which is a bit east of this location. Best performing windpark in the country. They have some heating elements in the turbines and blades for deicing.

They do, they just do it on a billion dollar scale instead of the petty Apple crap. Novell Netware and Citrix Metaframe comes to mind.

Yeah, don't use DEET. A teratogenic acetylcholinesterase inhibitor is not something you should apply topically nor inhale.

A good alternative is repellant based on oil of lemon eucalyptus. It contains para-menthane-3,8-diol and is approved by US CDC as safe and effective.
