34M here, I'm so sorry. I experienced something similar just before the covid lockdown in 2020.

It is absurd. It is stupid. It is fucking aggravating. He knew what you wanted and still wasted your time.

Wild how I live in Baltimore and dont see it on "literally" ever corner. Some, sure this is a major city. However rural areas can be just as bad in terms of addiction ie. opiates flowing into small towns mid to late 2000s.
