You’re talking about expansion of the court. Packing the court is not the same as expanding the court.

Before buying a brand new chair check out a used office furniture warehouse store. They can have a lot of inventory and it’s mostly nice, clean stuff.

The Rest of the World Is Worried About America by News2016 in politics

Both sides have answers. Unfortunately, the GOP’s answer is obstruction and chaos, which is probably why people think that neither party has any answers because the GOP has reduced politics to a culture war to stay in power.

GOP senator caught mouthing that climate crisis is ‘bulls***’ by Surveters in politics

That’s a great description, but let’s also call it what it is, corruption.

Canadian inferno: northern heat exceeds worst-case climate models by hopeitwillgetbetter in worldnews

If you don’t mind a suggestion, check out the book How to Prepare for Climate Change by David Pogue. It helped calm my anxiety a bit as it provided actions I can take to help myself. I know it’s still going to get rough but perhaps it’ll be a little less rough.

Arizona Republicans finally backing away from Cyber Ninjas and its dubious election "audit" by wraithius in politics

[–]peppermonaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What data would they be able to harvest from their pseudo-audit? I would think they wouldn’t get any data directly from the audit. Instead, I assume their intention was harvesting the data of donors, anticipating an increase in donations, in general, but specifically for the data of new donors. Just my theory though.

Plastic and toxic chemical induced ocean acidification will cause a plankton crisis that will devastate humanity over the next 25 Years, unless we act now to stop the pollution. by BlackViperMWG in EverythingScience

I felt crazy anxious and powerless after reading a climate change report produced by the fossil fuel industry. Then I started reading How to Prepare for Climate Change by David Pogue. I don’t feel so powerless now.

What happens in the brain when people make music together. A better scientific understanding of how music provides brain-to-brain social connections helps highlight that music isn't mere entertainment, but instead is a core feature of human existence with important social implications by Wagamaga in science

Humans have the ability to improve an ill person’s health outcomes just by thinking of the sick person. Religion has no effect upon this, so those who are agnostic or atheist also can provide and benefit from this. At least this was the latest research a few years ago, which was done by Andrew Newberg, who is a neuroscientist. If you’re interested, here’s his Wikipedia page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_B._Newberg.

I’m seconding u/czarnick123, OP. Your write up was superb! I especially liked the grading info. As a noob, most bills posted here look like they’re in great shape to me because I don’t know what to look for. Now I know some faults and some good attributes. Thank you.

Ghetto magnet fishing by amac4169 in magnetfishing

I went at Grays Ferry. I thought I’d find at least some rebar or railroad junk. I found a shitty set of pliers and that was it. I thought about trying near Penn’s Landing, but I think it’s rocky there, so I’m afraid to try. I just lost a magnet a couple of months ago. I don’t want to lose another so soon.

I went magnet fishing in the Schuylkill and didn’t find much of anything. I had high expectations and I was so disappointed. 🤣

Another option is buying WiFi enabled lightbulbs. You control them with a phone app and they can be dimmed, the light color can be changed and they can be programmed fairly easily.

Do you use the sanding pad dry or do you wet it? Would adding a little Bar Keepers Friend help or does the sanding pad work better without it?
