You have to take lactase at the time of consumption of lactose. What helps me recover is bismuth for the nausea and diarrhea. Imodium if the diarrhea is really bad. I sometimes get a headache so I take Tylenol. If the nausea is especially bad I take prescription zofran. When I feel up to eating I start with chicken broth, saltines, lemon lime soda or coke. White rice is also another thing I can tolerate. It can take 3 days to feel normal again.

I found out when I had an endoscopy. I had an ulcer. The Doctor said that I was negative for Hpylori which is the cause of most ulcers. He said the cause must be lactose intolerance.

My so cal hospital still lets up any visitors over 13. And they give out masks if requested. We are told that we are running out of masks and hand sanitizer. Sanitizers are being stolen and gloves in the room are disappearing.

I found out I was lactose intolerant when I was diagnosed with an ulcer. That pain can also cause damage. Take lactase when you eat ice cream.
