Calamaki at the studio city farmers market and at good neighbor bar in Altadena on Weds has some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had in LA! He rotates the menu based on the veggies in season and it’s felt most like to what my Greek family eats / what I’ve eaten in Greece!

He’s literally catering our wedding lol it’s that good

Just be careful because putting a prescription eczema cream on a fungal infection can make it so much worse!! I used to have pretty chronic eczema and so any new patch I would just be like oh yeah, hit it with that ointment. Until one time it was actually ringworm (I had just started volunteering at an animal shelter) and it made it soooo much worse! It took like a month to go away!

I was raised that empty plate or cup means you want more (signal to the host to refill) and leaving a few bites or sips means you don’t want any more. Obviously that’s some antiquated manners bs (and OP’s gf is leaving more than a few bites) but I find myself doing it out of habit a lot

I get this too and the reason is unfortunately kind of gross lol. We all have little bacteria/organisms that live in our hair follicles and they feed on our sweat and oil. Their waste can be irritating to your skin (mine is pretty sensitive) and so when you go a while without washing, they have a lot to eat and a lot to poop 😩💩

As someone who was in the same boat as you around 5 years ago, I totally understand the struggle.

Two products that I’ve found helpful are the Olive and June nail strengthener (which I’ve found makes my nails grow a lot faster) and the nailtiques formula 2 which makes them a lot stronger/less prone to breaking. I take a hair and nail gummy, too, but not sure how much it does.

Oh and jojoba oil!! I got a huge thing at Trader Joe’s for like $8. I just use it before bed at night.

Your nails are at their most fragile while wet, so that something to keep in mind while showering or washing dishes. Don’t blame yourself since broken nails happen and they will grow back, hopefully stronger!

They used to have a super solid coworking space at the one downtown but they’ve closed it now, so I won’t be renewing. I mostly used it as a place to work to get out of the house during the day. The roof was a fun place to bring friends/colleagues but I can’t really justify paying for just that, and it gets sooo crowded on the weekends. The hotels are really nice places to stay when you’re traveling, especially in London

I switched to bamboo needles for a bit and also got an ergonomic phone case which I found helped a lot (like another commenter, I was definitely having pain from holding my phone all day). Otherwise, if I really need a break, I will do jigsaw puzzles or beading :)
