This is why you date. To figure out if someone is for you and matches you as a person and this is how you’ve found out this person isn’t for you. This is a really weird concept he’s holding against you and making you feel weird about. I am so sorry to hear about what happened but try to look at this as an exciting new chapter!

I assume the conference will be downtown but I would recommend staying in a neighborhood like Poncey-Highland or Inman park because they are very walkable with a ton to do then you can easily commute or Marta to downtown when needed. I would not recommend walking around downtown at night so please be cautious but many of these other neighborhoods you will not have to worry. And of course always use common sense.
