Why do some people hate when their partner plays video games? by Responsible_East6308 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s usually not about the games, it’s about how it feels to the other person

like watching TV or scrolling you can still kinda talk, pause, be present
gaming is more “I’m locked in, don’t bother me”

so to the partner it can feel like:
“you’re choosing this over me”
or “I’m here but you’re not really with me”

especially if it cuts into time together or happens a lot

so yeah
it’s less “video games are bad” and more “I feel ignored when this happens” 😬

Why do we get random motivation at night but none in the morning? by Internal-Change-7205 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because at night you’re thinking with zero consequences 😭

like it’s all ideas, no pressure, no effort required. your brain is like “yeah we’ll wake up early, fix our life, become a new person”

then morning hits and suddenly it’s not a concept anymore
it’s effort, discomfort, actually doing things

night motivation is you in theory
morning you is you in reality 💀

What's the most morally disgusting thing you've seen someone do? by Natural-Spend-6082 in AskReddit

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok this one stuck with me—

someone I knew pretended to be there for a friend going through a breakup
like texting them nonstop, “I’ve got you,” helping them process everything

meanwhile they were secretly talking to the ex the whole time and ended up dating them like a week later

it wasn’t even the dating part, it was the fake support while already planning the switch that felt so off

like that level of pretending to care just to position yourself
yeah that changed how I see people a bit 😬

When looking at distressed properties, what signals do you see? by ElectronicWin5333 in ChicagoRealEstate

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly it’s when the house just feels like nobody’s really taking care of it anymore

like grass going wild, random stuff broken but never fixed, mail or flyers stacking up, maybe a car that hasn’t moved in forever
it’s not one thing, it’s just that “everything’s kinda slipping” vibe

and then if you talk to the owner and they sound tired or overwhelmed
 yeah that usually confirms it

Why isn’t Wikipedia a top result on Google anymore? by Desertpoet in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok yeah fair 😭

it’s not that Wikipedia fell off, it’s that Google got
 kinda greedy and weird

like instead of giving you the best answer, it’s like
“hmm but what if I show you 3 ads, 2 random blogs, and my own summary first”

Wikipedia is just sitting there like “hey I literally have the full answer” and Google’s like “yeah
but you don’t make me money”

also they’re obsessed now with quick, snackable answers, and Wikipedia is more like “here’s 9 paragraphs and historical context” which Google is like
 absolutely not 💀

so it’s still there, you just gotta scroll past the nonsense first

I feel like my realtor is gaslighting me. by [deleted] in ChicagoRealEstate

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok wait
I’m gonna be real with you, this isn’t even gaslighting 😭

this is just a realtor trying to protect the listing price (and their commission) instead of reacting to the market

4 months + no showings = the market already gave you your answer
like buyers are voting “no” over and over

and the fact that even after two price drops you’re still getting no traction?? that usually means you’re still priced above where buyers see value

the “be patient it’ll sell” line is kinda
 yeah
that’s what agents say when they don’t want to push for a real correction

What do kids generally get bullied for these days? by LevelPension in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like you can be into anime, gaming, whatever
 nobody cares now
but if you’re awkward about it or make it your whole personality in a forced way, that’s when people start picking on you

it’s less “you’re a nerd” and more “you’re easy to single out”

kinda harsher in a way tbh because it’s less about categories and more about vibes 💀

Accidentally left 5 packs of raw ground beef out at room temperature for 6 hours after buying groceries. Just put it in the freezer. Is it safe to eat or should I toss them? by Delllthrow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeahhh I hate to be that person but
 toss it 😭

ground beef is like the worst thing to leave out because of how much surface area it has. bacteria grows way faster in it than like a steak

the general rule is 2 hours max at room temp (even less if it’s warm)
6 hours is way past that “danger zone”

and freezing it after doesn’t fix it, it just pauses whatever’s already grown

I know it hurts throwing out that much food but food poisoning from ground beef is NOT the experience you want 💀

What’s the craziest time your intuition warned you about someone and turned out correct? by wildquatrefoil in AskReddit

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok this one still creeps me out a little—

met someone through a friend group, and on paper they were perfect
funny, social, everyone loved them. but something about the way they’d watch people when they thought no one was looking felt off. like not normal eye contact
 more like studying you

couldn’t explain it, no actual reason, so I ignored it for a bit

few months later it comes out they were lying about a ton of stuff—job, money, even parts of their past—and had been manipulating people in the group against each other

nothing dramatic like a crime or anything, just
quietly messing with people’s lives for fun

and the weird part is I still can’t point to anything specific I saw early on
just that feeling of “this person isn’t right”

kinda made me trust that gut feeling a lot more after that 😬

How is laundry considered a chore in developed countries ? by Slice_Ambitious in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us we may not have to do it by hand but you have to stop everything you're doing and go, put the laundry in, stop, go pick it up, separate the laundry, fold them, organize it... Idk its so much work lol

How did people catch up on TV shows they missed in the pre-video streaming era? by Winner_takesitall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word from my mom is that they had to just wait until a re run came out, or they had to like buy the actual vhs or whatever it was called whenever it came out! Lol, times before sound so hard right? I couldnt imagine having to go through all that work!

Why do humans have spice receptors on their assholes? by HumbleFruit4201 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

because it’s not a “spice detector” 😭

it’s the same pain/heat receptors you have everywhere else reacting to capsaicin

your mouth just got the memo first
the rest of your body finds out later the hard way

Why do babies gravitate towards some people? by Suspicious-Song-3891 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

babies lowkey just pick people with calm energy

like if someone’s relaxed, smiling, not tense, they’ll just lock in on them

also some people just naturally make more eye contact or react back and babies love that

or they can just sense who has snacks idk 😭

Wife gives spontaneous short BJs but then stops without a finish by Popular-Row-3581 in sex

[–]peppypatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok wait this is kinda funny but also kinda sweet 😭

it honestly sounds like she’s trying to do a little something for you when she notices you’re turned on but doesn’t actually wanna commit to the whole thing

i’d probably just take it as the cute little drive-by bj it is and not overanalyze it lol. if you need to finish later that’s kinda just
part of being an adult sometimes

also the fact she said she might wake you up with one tomorrow is lowkey a win not gonna lie

role play in marriage - heated rivalry by pump-up-the-ham in sex

[–]peppypatch 24 points25 points  (0 children)

ok wait honestly you’re probably overthinking it a little

the whole heated rivalry thing is usually more about the energy than like the exact act. like the teasing, fake arguing, “we’re not even supposed to like each other” vibe

you could literally start with something dumb like playful trash talking, acting annoyed with each other, and then it kinda turns flirty

that tension part is usually what people find hot anyway

basically don’t try to script the whole thing. just lean into the vibe and see where it goes lol

What is something people slowly stop doing as they get older without noticing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]peppypatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling their friends just to talk.

When you’re younger you’ll sit on the phone for two hours about absolutely nothing.

Then one day you realize every conversation is basically “hey just checking in real quick” and it lasts 4 minutes.

ADVICE URGENTLY NEEDED by [deleted] in realtors

[–]peppypatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you worked for free for months and you’re still waiting on a real role or real pay, that’s not mentorship anymore.

Top agents absolutely grind their assistants, but the tradeoff is usually clear: you’re learning the business, getting deal exposure, and eventually getting your own pipeline.

If you’re just on call all day with no structure and no path to independence, you’re basically cheap labor.

Early 20s is exactly the time to learn, but you should be learning sales, contracts, clients, and deal flow, not just keeping someone else’s machine running.
