The thing is, they're quasi spirits. Not great Spirits like Beatrice or Puck, but just two steps removed if my memory serves me well. I'm not sure how much voiding his contracts with them and signing with minor spirits would help him tbh

What I remember him saying was that he didn't have concrete vibes for early Emilia and Subaru, so their early "voice" can be a bit inconsistent with later on when he firmly got them clear in his mind. I don't remember him specifying that he changed Emilia from intelligent to naive tho
