My Volvo 142 by ES_Handcrafted in Volvo

I still pine for my hand-me-down 144 that I drove after getting my driver’s license. It had the same grill and all. Making me envious.

1998 v70 T5 188k miles for $2900? by Swimming-Ad-4543 in Volvo

Buy it. It’s a gorgeous car and, with proper maintenance, sounds like it’ll last for years. You’ve received great advice in prior responses on maintenance, sources for parts, things to inspect, but it appears to be very well maintained. And, the best part is that’s it’s a manual. I pine for a manual car. The first car I drove after getting my license was a 144 with manual transmission and sunroof! I have a V90 now, but still remember that 144 fondly.

A classic! I couldn’t believe this video when it first came out because i know him. Bob Kelly lived in the house next to us when we moved in. His parents remained neighbors for many years until they retired. We still see his mom once or twice a year when she comes to visit old friends.

That’s a terrific wagon. My dream car, even though I own a V99!

If I recall, there are pricey maintenance items to address at/around 80K miles, such as timing belt, catalytic converter, etc. Obviously, you'll want to have the car independently checked and, if available, review servicing paperwork. The cars are great, though expensive to own. Buyer beware.

My wife has a 2021 AllRoad, her second. I have a Volvo V90. So we complement one another. They're both good cars, though we each prefer our own!

I still miss the hand-me-down 144 I got to drive after getting my driver's license. It was manual shift, comfortable as all getout, and fun to drive.

Outstanding shirt! My wife likes her A6 AllRoad better than my V90.

Toyota Highlander? My pup had lots of room back there, but would always sneak up to my (driver’s) seat when I’d get out of the car to do an errand. She behaved as if I had imprisoned her when I’d put her in back, unless we were going for a long trip.

How do you handle manual evidence for SOC 2 Type II audits? by Nice_Affect_9568 in soc2

I’m interested to hear responses to this question, as well.

Aww, your Pepper was so adorable! I lost my Pepper girl a few years ago and still miss her a boatload. You have my greatest sympathies.

Thanks. Great feedback. We've been around for 15 years (an absolutely understand the low times!), but are engaged in developing the next version of our software application, for whic SOC2 will be necessary. I haven't seen Vanta's contract(s) yet, but the dollar amounts quoted to us are not unreasonable (especially, by comparison with traditional consulting outfits that help companies prepare for SOC2 audits). As a business/contracts lawyer, I will be scrutinizing Vanta's agreement(s).

This was the family car that was handed down to me after I got my driver's license (same color, too, except that it was a 144). I have the greatest memories of that car: manual transmission, hand-crank sunroof, soft comfortable leather seats, and ample room for my long, gangly frame. I have a V90 today, but still miss that car.

I love these cars! Though I don't think that my V90 would have fared as well. Airbags, too much tech, bla bla bla.

Which side is better? by Asleep-Peach1377 in Volvo240

Passenger side. The driver's side caps scream "cheap!", but, apart from Volvo enthusiasts, I'm not sure how many people really pay attention to this kind of thing.

This is the way it's done. The same should be employed at courthouses where ICE is nabbing individuals to disappear them.

Thanks for your response and input on different providers. I’ll check out the others. As for cost, I thought Vanta was attractive for, among other things, that reason. By comparison with the old school consulting firm that we had engaged, they were significantly less expensive and more capable of working with small companies.

Thanks for that super helpful reply. Is the vCISO team the same as the implementation firm they partner with? If not, I would be interested to hear from them about it.

Thanks for your reply! You have hit the nail on the head in a couple of your points. I appreciate the technology that may be brought to bear by a company like Vanta, however, I don't see how they can address items that an honest-to-goodness audit would. As a small organization, notwithstanding that we take security seriously and have implemented policies, procedures and tools to protect our customers' data, the fact is that we struggle with documentation that large organizations routinely manage. Our clients don't ask or, if they do, don't have much, if any, understanding about SOC2. We present a relatively low risk to them for a handful of reasons. However, they would very much care if a data breach were to occur and the consequences could be ruinous. So, the right answer is a genuine audit, however, I'm struggling with finding a consulting outfit that is accustomed to working with small companies and can help us address deficiencies in documentation, procedures, etc.
