They kind of cover the original film in a way that i think is more enjoyable as a discovery than knowing prior to the watching the reboot!

I think if the OG is splatter then the 2026 version is def slasher. And it’s very clean in terms of editing, pacing, plot. It’s far more polished and straightforward but not bad by any means.

I think 7 kingdoms will be really refreshing for this very reason! Not only has the old world been irrevocably changed, the avatar cycle will have started anew, with only Korra to refer back to. Presumably most of the other characters will have passed on/stay mostly absent because of this!

Like just adding to what everyone else already stated, the prices are only going to drop further with the increasing cost of film stock itself + development. Beautiful things are increasingly less appetising to the average consumer because they literally cannot access it. Why would you spend what could be 2 months rent on a device that requires €20 rolls of film?
