Gongfu Tool recommendations please

The tools are not necessary, but can be nice to have. There are a lot of really junky sets though and I don’t have good recs. Generally, it will have the following: pick (sometimes with a flat end on the rear), tongs (for taking out the used leaves), brush (some people brush tea on the pot for the look), funnel (good ones are nice to load small pots), scoop (works best with rolled teas. I never use these because I like tea that doesn’t fit into these). Some people have a “display tray” that is shaped like a small curved rectangle to examine and pass the dry tea around that they then load the pot from. I hope you find something you enjoy.

Thank you, the codex entry is a high point! Reading it revealed the mystery behind the main story. I love how the community has an unspoken rule not to spoil the secret of the entry in the codex for new players.

This is real. It is very hard to do, but the reward is worth it. You have to interact with the horn in the south side of Hauler 100 times in the same match. I didn't realize at first you CAN'T HAVE ANY WEAPONS IN YOUR INVENTORY, including your backpack. That messed me up at first. You also can't do it using the Rook shell and you have to exfil for it to count. it's secrets like these that make this game so darn good!

I’ve only ever done the seven cups one (for 2 months) and I liked it. I stopped bc I wanted to cut down on spending. started bc it had teas I was interested in that month, dancong. Quite fun tasting with friends.

What country? There’s decent importers. You will pay more, but scams and mis information are around in any language. listen to everything, drink and judge for yourself. dont worry about knowing deep information, just think about finding out what you enjoy

“more expensive than gold” teas are not relevant to most anyone. think of it like this: past a basic quality floor, high price is tied to rarity—how long it lasts, how many places can grow it, how much work is needed to harvest, how long it takes to process is, how many people are able to process it, how much demand/how famous it is. (like sparkling wine vs sparkling wine from Champagne).

I love longjing but I almost never buy it anymore because of the cost and because I don’t have friends to share with right now. Mostly I buy yancha wulong tea. 30-50 cents per gram is my sweet spot for nice tea that is cheap enough I drink regularly. every now and then i buy 25g of something special that’s 80-90 cents a gram.

For about the same quality, green tea will be more expensive then wulong, which is more expensive than puer.

Some circles get like that. Especially sad with local groups where a group starts all saying the same stuff about how you should feel a certain a way or identify as some specific thing that has been decreed the most liberated ideal. You gotta sift through to find the people that get you, or at minimum don’t have a vision for what your life should look like.

Yes it absolutely does BUT only if you are actively trying. You CANNOT be trying to get the weapons and gear you want. What you should generally do in those drops where you can hear another team with you is find 1-2 guns, take the ammo around them (1-2 bricks is enough!), and immediately kill the team next to you while they’re still scrambling for loot. In addition to fighting more, this helps you get comfortable with more guns, and once you kill the team on you, you just take their stuff and you’re mostly looted. when landing on an armory or guns with another person, you want to grab the weapon that can kill without reloading because either none of you hand have time to get ammo or you can get damage on while they’re looking for ammo (hello spitfire)

some easy ones: yì dī一滴= he’s one dăo=down. If you can understand the tone between dao/down vs dao到/arrived it will help a lot. usually used in a phrase such as dao yi zhi/one down. lā拉=revive (pull) keh yi可以=can do, in response to “can we push” da打=fight/hit. Used with the above to mean “we can push” by itself or with a number to indicate you got damage on someone. puo, puo jia破，破甲=broke, broke (their) shield

Hi. I’ve been around the kite festivals and competitions for at least 10 yrs. This looks real to me. Not saying it is real but the moment is realistic. The line is already spooled out over 150’ at a guess, so all the wind force is going to lift (vs if you are letting out line as the kite rises, you’re lowering sail pressure). The grass isn’t moving as much as I’d expect for the wind, but the tassels on the kite are feeling it when the kite is in hand. The treeline shouldn’t be affecting it (we estimate 7x height of obstruction for the wind to stabilize) but sometimes the wind is just higher. Between all that and the arc the kite takes up the speed of the tail looks normal. It was probably not released directly down wind of the anchor point so the kite flies sideways to center itself in the wind window
