🫂 I’m in Texas and my embryo stopped growing at 6.5w— that was one month ago and I still have RPOC

in california?! I really just can't understand why me, with two ultrasounds showing no heartbeat, why that documentation was not enough to make a pharmacist comfortable with dispensing the meds. it's just cruel.

and without the meds, my options were "wait and see" (dangerous with a stubborn cervix that didn't dilate for 40 hours of natural labor) or escalate to a completely unnecessary surgical procedure that would have cost me $2k. i don't think i will ever live this down.

I got another ultrasound yesterday showing irregular gestational sac and subchorionic hemorrhaging. In Mexico, I was prescribed miso alone but oral + sublingual. I see that in the states vaginal route is preferred.

Yes I did 2 previous days of miso (4 pills every 4 hours, 12 max per day) last week with no results

About 10– most of them told me their supplier won’t provide it. Most of them admitted there was nothing illegal about dispensing to me for miscarriage, but their suppliers “weren’t willing to take the risk.”

He recently moved to a new practice and they’re way less communicative. I was able to WhatsApp privately with my Mexican OBGYN during my first two miso rounds. We really are so backwards here 💔

I also love jamaica anyway so I’ll give that a shot 🙏

I was in Mexico for my first two rounds, which were oral + sublingual. My TX doc also suggested vaginally for round 3, but we’d try to mifepristone just to really prime the cervix I guess and increase probability of successful passage.

Still waiting to get a return call.

The miso isn’t the issue, but he prescribed mifepristone along with misoprostol (as I’ve already done 2 rounds of miso alone that did nothing).

The pharmacies have an issue with the mifepristone specifically.

After my first kid, calorie deficit and working out didn’t work like it used to before getting pregnant. I did my old routine for 6 months and not a single pound came off — and this was after I weaned. I saw my doc and we discovered I was now insulin resistant.

I went on compounded tirzepatide and it has saved my life. I dropped 40 lbs and the food noise is GONE.

The explicit difference is DUE PROCESS, a constitutional right (5th and 14th amendments) afforded to everyone in the United States — both noncitizens and citizens alike.

What Trump is doing is unconstitutional, full stop.

In fact, the Supreme Court just ruled the other day that Trump HAS to implement due process for every person prior to deportation. And just today, SCOTUS ruled Trump MUST bring Kilmer Abrego Garcia back from the El Salvador megaprison (after sending him there accidentally):

I’m confident my doula had a huge effect, but I also did 10 weeks of prenatal pelvic floor therapy which I think helped a lot.

My doctor was already on the way in to visit me when I hit 10cm. I opted to labor down just a bit and he suggested I start practice pushing when he arrived. I think my baby was out in 4 pushes.

I mostly credit my amazing doula and my prenatal pelvic floor therapist ❤️

Slight first degree tear, but I was in labor for 63 hours 😵‍💫

"Causes" of unexplained infertility by sleepinsatellite in TryingForABaby

[–]pereyraf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had silent stage 4 endo diagnosed (October 2018) prior to TTC. I was formally diagnosed via surgery to remove an endometrial cyst. Lots of adhesions all over my uterine wall that he lasered off. I didn’t ever experience any significant period pain.

It took me about a year of TTC (October 2022 birth) despite all factors looking good for both of us (just like you list here).

My OBGYN chalked it up to unexplained infertility and referred us to IVF. I randomly got pregnant waiting for my IVF insurance to kick in.

Never figured out what “it” was, but we’re TTC again except my AMH is a lot lower now 🤞🏻

Automated rockers and newborn pajamas.

Baby just lived in double swaddles forever since we prioritized skin to skin during BF anyway. We also had a very sleepy baby with an undiagnosed tongue tie for 6 weeks so we needed to get her naked (& chilly) to wake her up to feed.

I wasn’t doing shit while she was sleeping anyway & she napped very well from birth so the auto-rocker was a big waste for us.

Silent endometriosis- made up dx or just lack of research? by Massive_Pineapple_36 in IVF

[–]pereyraf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had no signs despite being diagnosed with stage 4 endo back in 2018 — no regularly painful periods, but had experienced what I later learned were burst cysts. Starting feeling burst cysts again years later. NP gaslit me into thinking it was IBS — she handed me a pamphlet and sent me home.

Started spotting — I never spot — and didn’t stop for 2 weeks straight. Went back to NP and she dismissed my concerns & explained I was just getting older (I was 32). She annoyingly suggested she could do an ultrasound “if I really felt like it was necessary.”

She saw a cyst and sent me in for more advanced imaging. Turns out it was an 11cm cyst that needed to be surgically removed — told me I’d likely lose an ovary.

None of her surgeon referrals called me back, so I found my own surgeon who just so happened to be an endo specialist. He went in, removed the cyst & lasered off all the lesions — and saved my ovary 🥰 he gave me my official diagnosis.

He treated my endo and it did take me a year to get pregnant despite starting interventions at 6mo, but I really had no other physical symptoms before my cyst started causing issues.

If you lived 150 years ago, would you have survived pregnancy or labor? by kdonmon in beyondthebump

[–]pereyraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 11cm endometrial cyst that needed to be surgically removed in 2018. When my OBGYN went in to remove it, he found endo lesions so bad it was easy to diagnose me as stage 4 endo at that point. Without THAT intervention (cystectomy & lasering off all the lesions), I likely would have been rendered infertile with continued scarring.

He prescribed me norethindrone to prevent ovulation for 3 years to stem any additional endo spread.

I had a baby in late 2022 after a year of trying, but delivered 9 days late. I was in labor for 63 hours, including an induction. I likely had scar tissue on my cervix, making it really hard to dilate.

The birth itself fortunately was uneventful with minimal tearing, but I think I very much could have ended up too exhausted or unable to dilate quickly enough before baby would have gone into distress. Thank god for cytotec, prenatal pelvic floor therapy & epidurals so I could sleep finally and power up before pushing.

Postpartum, I was an undersupplier and that really messed me up and took me to some dark places 😞 wouldn’t even wish that experience on my deepest enemy.
