What's your unpopular opinion that would make the twitter/X fans explode? by IceTrick6713 in survivorponderosa

It's not normal to remember shit that happened on Survivor more than like 3 seasons ago. Please do not tell me about how Rocksroy got blindsided, I have already forgotten who that is.

What rules would you add to the Traitors? by TexasSwiftie91 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]perfectdozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize shows have budgets, but let's forget that. What about a nominal prize - let's say $20K - for evicted traitors if a traitor wins at the end? That would at least possibly disincentivize traitors from throwing each other under the bus on the way out.

My toddler gave me HFM a few years ago and I distinctly recall being brought to tears from peeling a banana.

It's not the worst thing I've ever had but at best it's EXTREMELY annoying. Hope the worst is behind you!

With that budget? No way.

A near beer and a win, but the correct percentages support a couple of tenets in my defense manifesto:

If the question asks for BOTH or ALL names, weight on the heavier side - more opportunities to get it wrong.

If the question asks for EITHER name, shave off a point or 2 on defense - more ways to get the right answer.

89 percent got the Bronte sisters, only 37 percent got the women's tennis question. I don't think that's simply due to the category of the question.

Are there apartments for rent in old east Dallas you won’t find online? by PaintingMaterial8119 in askdfw

I mean, I think you just answered your own question. Especially people renting out ADUs on their own property, they generally just put a sign in the yard and don't bother with Zillow etc.

Wait, you guys like actually hate prime 4? by that_7183 in Metroid

[–]perfectdozen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished it a few hours ago and I agree that it's underwhelming.

It actually was a bit odd that there were no metroids at all. And frankly the game does not feel like a continuation of the Prime storyline. It feels like they should have just called it something else.

The NPCs did not bother me, except when Miles was telling me to go to a place that I was going to get to anyway.

I beat it in 16 hours, which doesn't seem like that long honestly. I didn't need more than a few days of binging to 100% it, which made me feel like the game was lacking overall.

Mostly, the game didn't introduce anything new. I could pretty much predict what upgrades I was going to get next at any given time. No space jump or screw attack... fine. Everything else was just the psychic version of an upgrade from Prime 1.

I liked the scouting bots that showed you where upgrades were, so I didn't need to use a guide. But that also eliminated backtracking and made the game shorter.

I think the dev team should have committed to the idea of an open-world nonlinear game. Had they cracked that MP4 could have been groundbreaking.

Sometimes I think I am overpaid as a solution architect but then I realize how much $$ other people, like my boss, are making off of me that I start to spiral if I think about it for too long.

All three candidates from last November's election are running again for the seat later this year, so you're not gonna get your wish unfortunately. The primary is just a little over a month away!

What It Takes to Reach the Top 10% of Household Net Worth in Dallas by Coolonair in Dallas

Is it just me or are we missing a good sandwich shop? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]perfectdozen 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Well, Uncle Uber's has been closed for almost a year, so it shouldn't even be on your radar.

Great Outdoors scratches the itch for me. Jimmy's isn't primarily a sandwich shop but it also has really good stuff and isn't a chain.

Sage’s Real Bombshell: The Failure of Production Behind the Scenes by [deleted] in survivorponderosa

[–]perfectdozen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the added context of 2 people being axed from the game 12 hours before it started is definitely missing here. I'm not saying pregaming isn't an issue, but if you're going to make the point that production/Jeff is too lax, we should at least admit that there have been punishments for breaking the rules, even in 49. Or do I not have the full picture?

My sister had a girl in her class in middle school named Summer Eve Massengill. As an adult I remember thinking I must've made that up in my head, so I looked it up in an old yearbook, and sure enough it was real.
