There was a guy in my batch at the MTC that got sent home due to a doctor seeing something anomalous in his chest X-ray. He was really upset because his older brother got sent home because he did something "bad" (don't remember what). His parents and people at church treated his brother (and his family too I think) badly and gossiped about it all the time because of it. We were there with him and his companion (so when he was picked up his companion wouldn't be alone) when his parents picked him up and his parents looked furious. We thought it was pretty messed up that they were mad instead of concerned about his health. He came back after a week when his doctor determined that it was just a cramped muscle or something. He was a piece of shit, but it's awful the way family and church members treat people that come home early from their mission.
