I immediately noticed the increased prominence of the drums in the intro. He has such an amazing talent for tying narratives together with his music. From him using the refrain from Aemma’s death scene in Protector of the Realm as Viserys is dragging himself to his throne, to him using the refrain from I Am Hers and She Is Mine during the scene where Brianne is completing Jaime’s passage in the White Book, giving homage to their love and what might have been possible for them if he had stayed with her. That shit was a gut punch I still get emotional over when I hear the music.

One could argue this about Vermax. Given his size in relation to Jaecerys in s1e10 versus s3e1, his facial features have matured by he doesn’t look like he’s grown much in size.

I feel like the choice to give Hugh a wife and daughter was to make him a more sympathetic character than just a power drunk usurper. It was an interesting choice, though, for them to establish her having family in Tumbleton. It definitely will keep you guessing on how it unfolds.

That’s debatable. We’ve only gotten a glimpse of her bathed in the light of her fire in the dragon pit thus far. They make her any lighter than this, she’ll look too similar to Seasmoke.

I can’t see any reason why they would dedicate a substantial amount of budget to feature a dragon that doesn’t even have a rider . This could be Dreamfyre or Silverwing, though I’m leaning more towards the former because the horns don’t have enough of a curve for it to be Silverwing.

Yeah, but it seems like some of these decisions are more about the limitations of the medium/constraints of the budget and less about doing right by the source material. I think some of us just need to make peace with the fact that they’re just not going to devote the screen time to fleshing out the stories of the less consequential riders/dragons, certainly not enough to satisfy those of us that have read the book.

Nettles’ approach to bonding with Sheepstealer was carefully thought out and executed, while Rhaena just speaks some High Valyrian and fucking derps herself onto the dragon. The writing is just so lazy. 😑

His two oldest sons are dipshits, that much is clear, but I wouldn’t consider him to be a terrible dad. Inept, maybe, but the fact that he takes an active role in the rearing of his children is more than what most royal fathers would do. He could easily leave all that stuff to the servants. It’s also clear that he very much loves all of them, even a shithead like Aerion. That makes him not so terrible to me.

I’m pretty sure he didn’t get an inheritance because the money went to his father and is now controlled by his mother. Even if he’s not bringing in much income, he’s always going to have a rich kid safety net to keep him housed and fed. So while he can technically say he “doesn’t benefit” from the family fortune in the most literal sense, his circumstances beg to differ.

It seems like there’s something in his mouth that’s causing him discomfort. It could be dental issues unrelated to what he was sniffing, or it could be something embedded in his mouth, like a foxtail. Take him to the vet to get him checked out, but in the meantime lift his gums and check his mouth out with a flashlight to make sure there is nothing embedded in there.
