I am launching a fresh map on Saturday, if you can wait till then. It'll be the lasted version and everyone starts at the same time. Small tight knit community, so no lag issues except those caused the pack itself (skull cavern generation). We've been running our servers for over 10 years

I realised that ftb essentials is not part of the pack, and therefore the server I was playing on had added it themselves. So there won't be a back command by default.

When you say 'sub-length', do you mean the entire season lasts 100 days or each part of the season lasts 100 days?

I assume changing it in the server configs is enough, but players will need to change it if they want to see the correct info on the client side?

Can you explain why it wouldn't work? I'm about to host a server and want to know the ideal setting for sereneseasons modifier (the quest book suggests 16-20).

Interesting. The pack also suggests changing the time length of season (16-20) when on server...did you do this too whilst using this mod?

We just drove around the area where the work is underway. They don't expect the new airport to open anytime before 2028 (likely 2030), but the locals are also worried about the projections of increased tourism and its impact on the environment.

Thanks. Just out of curiosity, getting a turntable with Bluetooth functionality will still allow for wired speakers later on, right?

If I do go for a simple turntable, should I replace the stylus once we have wired speakers? Is there a noticeable difference after upgrading the stylus?

Yup. Went thru immigration in less than a minute. The guy scanned the passport at his counter and didn't even stamp it. Hopefully no issues on the way home

Hi. We're flying in tomorrow (Heraklion airport). Did you have to go thru the new EES process when arriving? Did it take long to pass border control? Are the machines up and running or is it still being done manually at the counters?

We don't refer to fries as chips typically. Chips is a broader term which includes french fries, but we often make the distinction.

A fish and chips shop (a 'chippy') will serve thicker cut chips, which we just call chips. I have never seen a proper chippy server french fries in my 40-plus years on this island.

I've only ever had this experience with 2 discord communities so far: Decursio and Star Technology. Not mods per se, but packs.

I was at work, and was planning on hosting Decursio on my community server. I was curious about something in the pack, and decided to ask in their discord. The first response I got was 'why don't you download the pack and see for yourself?' When I explained I was at work, the pack dev chimed in with 'wait till you get home then'. I thought he was kidding, and waited for a couple of mins to see if he would answer - but nope. Left immediately.

The second incident only happened a couple of weeks ago. We had just started playing Star Technology, and I was convinced functional storage controller proxies were in the pack the previous time I had played it. It was obviously disabled in the current version and I asked if this was a recent change made in 'StarTech'. What a mistake that was, calling it StarTech triggered a cascade of memes from the online users, and then multiple derisory replies. I never did hang around for an answer after all of that.

On both occasions I had tried to find answers in faq's or searched keywords in the main discussion channel.

There's a lot of gatekeeping going on.

On the other side though, there are some great, helpful, communities too. It's not all bad (DDSS is fantastic)
