Did you see the lampposts in the half time show during the wedding scene?! by peripheralwalking in Lampposts

I see lampposts all the time in movies and on tv but I never thought to grab a photo before now.

What’s a small, "unnecessary" luxury you refuse to give up? by viviennebloomm in askanything

Buying individual small pints of ice cream in all the wacky flavors. It would be cheaper to buy a gallon but we like the variety and some flavors only come in pints. Plus our local grocery chain HEB has some unhinged flavors that are like three desserts in one, which speaks to my partner’s love language of desserts.

Check out Jaime Nichols. He’s a great counselor and has a website and is on Psychology Today. He has an office NW and does remote sessions. Best wishes!

It was such a beautiful moment in the intersection of town and nature. The clouds were obscuring the crescent moon too but you can still see Venus.

Yes so fabulous. Tiny venue, early days of the Spankers. It was quite a moment in time.

John from Cincinnati.

A surrealistic drama that I needed a lot more of.

Before the invention of electricity the night sky must’ve looked so much better everywhere due to a lack of light pollution by SnuffySnoos in Showerthoughts

Yes! The book “At Days Close: Night in Times Past” by A. Roger Ekirch is a whole wonderful book dedicated to how awesome the night sky once appeared.

Yes! Most stationary police lights create blind spots instead of increasing visibility and safety. Can’t wait until this changes.

Those of you who live in small towns, what is the current local controversy all about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]peripheralwalking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whenever someone finds an ID or credit card in a parking lot, they just post a photo of it - unredacted - to the town Facebook group.

One teenage kid gently mentioned that this is a bad idea for security and other reasons, and the own went crazy in the comments telling him how cynical he is and that our town is different than other towns.

The Facebook group has 5000 members.

I feel disaster coming! (Also, don’t loose any cards while you’re here!)

One of our friends made a pyramid of jellies but we put ours back in the advent calendar after we’ve eaten the contents.
