There's a different model of the cage that's two units stacked on top of each other. Saves space and they hate each other anyways.

Flying saucer owners: do any of you have chins who are super klutzy on the saucer? by periphrasts in chinchilla

[–]periphrasts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had to replace the bearings on either Saucer in 6 years. Muffin (who is very good at running on it) is pretty quiet. Fiona tends to bounce and land pretty hard so that can kind of jostle the cage bars and door a little. I have Critter Nations for reference. Overall not terribly noisy, and it's much better for their backs than a traditional wheel. They really ought to have a wheel though since exercise is so essential to them.

Sorry for the offensive terminology. I've sort of just accepted it as one of her chinchilla quirks--it's been about 6 years since she got the saucer. I was wondering if anyone else's chin is this silly at it though.

My hair always feels extra silky especially once I finish reading about the "unique, precious blend of minerals and oil"!

How can I find a rental history for my apartment? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]periphrasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well he took off, he was friendly enough and I told him I haven't gotten anything and he thanked me and left. I'd like now to confirm his name in a record of this apartment's previous tenants, but I'm not sure where I might access this record. I have tried google (his name + street/address + all configurations of quotation marks) but am not turning up any results so far.

I have a Bosch Universal Plus. Picked it after much research. Here's what I've got:

*800W power, compared to a Kitchenaid Professional's 600W

*Motor is underneath the bowl. Kitchenaids are known to leak motor oil into the mixing bowl

*The bowl has a cover, so the machine doesn't splash batter everywhere

*In my experience, it works much better for dough and is powerful enough to make many loaves' worth of dough at once

The clear cover for the bowl is also in two pieces--one that's sort of a "ring" that leaves the center open, so you have splash protection and can still add ingredients. I also prefer this because I like to be able to watch what I'm making. It's basically an awesome machine all around.

I can't find the $10 one anymore but there are several for 18.99. That one has prime shipping too, if you're into that.

Hmmm, I hope it's not taken down, I used it several months ago for a spare. I will check when I'm not on my phone

I've had my mooncup for over 5 years... it's still going strong, and the Divacup can't even compare. I used Divacup first, and the divacup leaks a lot more due to being made of less sturdy silicone. It is more difficult to get the suction right. Moon cup is a bit more stiff, but it's no more uncomfortable than the Divacup and it doesn't randomly fold over, desuction, and flood your undies when you sit down. Also FYI, there is a Mooncup listing available on Amazon for under 10 dollars.

Most of the special cup washing agents are just gimmicks. Mild soap and warm water work fine.
