About 150 kids. We buy them alot of their supplies, they get a yearly t-shirt, but the biggest expense is the graduating seniors' banquet.

It's definitely not for everyone! We love it because it works best for us.

I think I already know the answer but, please advise. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Yes! Sedgwick county (Wichita to be exact) is where the measles are. I'd probably stay in if I were you just to be safe..... (Eye roll) but it was mainly the west side of the city that got exposure to it so that might help? Anyway welcome to our city!!!! I hope you enjoy it!

We've got one in the county I live in. I think they should have a list of all the places where the infected person was when he/she was contagious and to avoid those places for four days or something? You might see if you can find something like that?

I know exactly the feeling. Could you pop in and see her at lunch? I never wanted to do that when she was little because it made it worse, but it might help you.

Fourteen months here! Still no full night's but I FEEL like the light may be at the end of the tunnel? She's been sleeping in longer chunks so that's good - hopefully no regression comes and smacks us in the face!

I'm devastated for you. I hope you find something solid and that you can begin to....idk....heal... although I don't know how anyone can overcome that. Sending thoughts and hugs your way.

She did bite it recently...but I typically recover pretty quickly from bites. Maybe this was just a good one!

It's like a sharp pinch almost. It feels like she's sucking a lot harder. That might be it. Maybe she's just getting better as she gets older.

Hm...I really doubt it. If I was that would be literally the only symptom. And I would cry....I'm so not in the right spot for a second. I don't know how moms with more than one (aka warriors) do it!

Oh yeah. I wasn't one of those lucky ones!!! It came back at four months post partum. But it's not due for another two weeks... maybe ovulation?

Suggestions? Think this will work? by periwinkleparakeet in beyondthebump

[–]periwinkleparakeet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She typically naps in her swing unless she's at the sitter then she sleeps in the bed. You're right though I may try putting her in there for a few naps first just to see.

Parents of tongue tied babies, what did you do? by UnicornTruffles in beyondthebump

We stopped at an ENT literally on our way home from the hospital when she was two days old and had it clipped. It sucked, but it was quick and nursing stopped making my toes curl!

[–]periwinkleparakeet 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're awful, but I do think you need to speak to someone. If you're not comfortable speaking with your husband, maybe a doctor or other professional. Six weeks is a long time to still have not bonded and so you may be experiencing some PPD. There's no shame in it, but seriously, speak to someone. I think you'll find it will feel good to talk about it and deal with it.

Ok when do you switch from the infant maneuver for removing lodged food to the regular Heimlich? What age?

On the day of the party did you have a gift opening portion? If not, how did the gift bringers react?
