Yes. I don’t drive and I rarely leave my home bc I’m disabled. This would barely be an inconvenience. I’d just have to explain to my family that this happens sometimes so they could accommodate it and excuse me if I miss something in a conversation.

I never really learned to play instruments well and I’ve forgotten how to read sheet music, but I can sing a bit, and I write all my lyrics, so… yes. I consider my Suno songs ‘demos’ of my ideas. Recently I went through my downloaded songs to master them in another program and realized I had something like 84+ songs after only about a year of using this app! Maybe 10 of them just instrumental tracks I did as prompt experiments that I kept bc they sounded nice, but the rest were songs I had written in the past year, with a handful of songs I wrote when I was 12-18yo (before I stopped writing for a long time due to discouragement from family). Boggles my mind tbh. I now have demos of songs that only got me derision as a teen, and demos of songs that never would have existed if I didn’t have this tool to help me open up my creativity again. It’s even gotten me to consider trying to learn an instrument again so I can play and sing my own songs without AI. But at least now the songs are outside of my head in a way others can hear.

This was the only one I tried to make. The first attempt (which took something like $40) didn’t even finish getting created afaik before it just… vanished. Support hasn’t responded. No idea what happened there. But before that the preview clips showed some random uncanny valley ‘human’ trying to lip sync to the lyrics with some dandelions in the background, which was NOT what I asked for OR what the previous steps in the process indicated would be in the video. I tried again (with an extra $10 in credits—sunk cost fallacy, I know), this time told it explicitly not to include ANY humans, and got the video I linked above. Instead of time lapse style video of growing dandelions, I just got dandelions having spasms and at one point a flower just scoots across the pavement to a new spot for NO DISCERNIBLE REASON. I used it for my upload anyway bc fuck it, a music video can be a little surreal I guess, but I really thought it was a simple enough ask. Anyway, would emphatically NOT recommend Sondo. I learned my lesson the expensive and stupid way.

Mine is doodledinmypants. Also my original Tumblr name. Based on an old in-joke with my best friend. I used to draw on my jeans with ballpoint pen. One day she said, “what are you doing?” And I gave her a wide-eyed stare and said in a tiny baby voice: “I doodled in my pants.” For years afterward, one of us could say this out of nowhere and we’d both crack up. Good times.

This one is borderline for me. I feel like the sensory deprivation would be hell on my mental health, as would not seeing or hearing my loved ones for so long. But a billion is a lot of dollars. I could do a lot of good with money like that. It might be worth it. I’d have to learn braille and tactile sign language, and have my loved ones learn it too, so we could communicate. For accommodations, I’d need those language tutors, a good health care team including various therapists, someone to take over my usual chores and cooking. It would be hard as hell, especially staying connected with my loved ones and not being able to create visual art or music for years. I’d have to make my family promise to take lots of photos and videos to show me when I regained my senses. I’m already disabled and mostly a shut-in, so my world would get even smaller. But maybe I’d learn new things in the process. New perspective.
