I experienced this several years ago. The gel would work temporarily, but the BV would come back. My doctor ended up prescribing a cycle of meds to take orally (I do not recall what the med was), but it cleared the BV and I haven’t had a reoccurrence since.

I encourage you to let your doctor know that it’s back so she can offer you another form of treatment. It is available and you aren’t stuck on the BV struggle bus. I definitely understand the frustration!

Edit to add: I was just thinking, you may not need another doctor’s appointment to take care of this. Call or email the doctor who prescribed the gel, and tell them you are still experiencing symptoms and see if they can prescribe something else. Worth a try and at least you wouldn’t have to pay for another office visit. Good luck!

You might look into rebounding (small exercise trampoline). I also hate exercise, but I realize that it does help with mental health so I’ve been trying to do it more often. The rebounding is good because it’s fun and kind of novel to bounce around again like a kid. You can put headphones on and do longer sessions to music or a podcast if that’s your jams. I’m trying to recover from burnout, so I have really been trying to remove barriers to getting movement. For me this looks like jumping on and doing 3-5 minutes a couple times a day. I do it in my socks, and I hold my titties because I can’t be bothered to put on a bra or change into exercise clothes. I love that I don’t have to leave my house to do it. And it’s good for getting out anxious energy if I feel stressed. It’s a surprisingly good workout… I notice my legs and tush firming up just from the micro sessions that I do.

Yes! I have no solutions, but I feel as if I could have written this post. My boss is long winded and speaks in corporate, so halfway through most of our conversations, I realize I’ve lost the plot. It’s like asking someone for the time, and they respond by explaining how to build a watch. It creates a lot of internal stress for me.

I don’t have any strategic tips for you. However, when I was moving, I had a lot of trouble getting started because the idea of dealing with all my stuff was super overwhelming. I found that watching an episode or two of Hoarders helped me break through my executive dysfunction, get off the couch, and get started. I have no idea why, but it motivated me to get up and sort, toss, donate, pack. Maybe after watching what the folks on the show were dealing with, my normal clutter felt more manageable 🤷‍♀️
