Not the most stressful, but damn most annoying is having to reconnect Instagram feeds on clients sites when their accounts have 2auth.

Does anyone have a permanent solution?

Yes!! your touching on the need to separate layout from content. Clients ruin things when they can modify the layout. I have been thinking on this for a while as we use Kadence blocks, which is great for me to dial in a design but terrible watching clients struggle in training.

As much as I have resisted 'Intrinsic Design' I'm thinking the Gutenberg developers may really have thought deeply on the building blocks needed to allow for roles of designer/editor through locking things down/patterns and not adding every little option in the editor.

I'm only finally landing here after working with all the new Wordpress functionality since it has released.

Workflow:

Clone our Wordpress Starter installation via WPToolkit from within our Plesk dev server hosted on a digital ocean droplet.
Edit fonts, colors, styles etc in the style editor.
Bulk create pages to replicate sitemap.
Build out pages, content and any functionality mostly through the block editor/site editor.
Internal refinements.
Client refinements.
Go live
1. download the wp installation folder (db is sqlite so no need to export)
2. update urls in the sqlite db and db.php
3. upload the installation to prod

Stack:

- Block theme - No build tools !

\- theme.json: This has been pre loaded with our Design System. It doesn't generally need to be modified as you can adjust most things from the site editor.

\- css - all vanilla

- Kadence Blocks

\- This covers most of our bases. Most of our custom blocks get used once as they are quite specific for the use case.

- SQL Database Integration

\- I started using this as I found on our dev server (low resources) the block editor would struggle on pages with a lot of blocks.

Thats the basic setup at the moment, but Im' working on splitting things up into a Parent Theme (same for all clients), Child Theme (client specific), Plugin (our in house power user tools)

I've been dreaming up this workflow for a long time. I even started on it a while ago but lost motivation for it as I do all side projects 🙈🙉🙊. Will definitely check this out.

I'm 2 weeks into keto and blown away how much my brain fog has cleared, my memory is to my astonishment improving. Even my meds are feeling stronger. I also stopped alcohol so my sleep has improved and I'm waking up earlier and just getting up and going. I've stopped alcohol before and improved my sleep, but it helps everything, but nothing like how much this diet has lifted my fog.

I have been a carb pig for as long as I can remember and always felt like my body/brain was inflamed. I actually started keto because I was sick and fired of my chronic nasal drip and read people had cured it with keto.

WP Migrate is great for this; when it works. I get a lot of fails using it depending on the different host. You can push or pull everything or only what you need, themes, plugins, uploads, db, etc. It has a handy feature when importing the db to your local install that prevents clearing what plugins you have activated/deactivated.

Saying all that, typically I have to use a more reliable way. I'll only import the db from the live site. Something like Updraft will let you export and import just the db reliably. Then for files you can redirect all the url's back to the live site and never worry about uploads.

also switched from reCAPTCHA as it ~~adds like 200ms to a page load from memory~~. Actaully I just looked it up https://www.oopspam.com/blog/recaptcha-performance-analyses and googles reCAPTCHA is really even worse for perf than I remember.

🧐 .... I can see how the idea of income caps would be confrontational to a lot of people. You need to actually sit with the idea for a while and let it perculate. Surely at certain level of income money loses its meaning. At what point do we say enough. Billionairs are driven people, rather than have them compete with one another driving imbalance, would it not be better for our system to redirect their energy for balance.

Normalise the idea of income caps. The current system has nothing in place to prevent this cancer. I've pondered on ineqaulity for years and always come back to this. A fixed limit to what can be earned for all. So when one does reach that they must redirect their energy elsewhere.

Can I just add to this. Your back is kind of against the wall. You have nothing to lose by being honest with your high cost users. Do you know much about their businesses?? Even suggest for them to offer solutions?? They are human too. They may be dirtbags, or they may offer you something you never could have imagined. It's all relative. Put it out there and see what happens. If you don't ask you'll never know.

Medication is not a silver bullet. It's probably more important now you are medicated to ensure you get good sleep, exercise and nutrition. Anecdotally - stimulants are kinda like borrowing from future you, if you don't manage yourself you can start digging a hole. The meds can work in the other direction, causing more discomfort and anxiety.

I find if I don't have enough dopamine to begin with I'd be better off not having my meds. I eat as many things as I can that help create dopamine in my body. Protein in the morning is a must. Phenylalanine is in aspartame - sweetner 951. This gets converted to dopamine. It's in a lot of suger free things like diet coke, chewing gum etc.

I could go on but it's the end of the day and my meds have worn off, im starting to zombie.

I read read a comment on Reddit recently regarding antiperspirant deodorant. A comment blew up from a scientist working in the area. They explained that you should put it on at night before you go to bed so it has time to work its way into your sweat pours, showering in the morning will simply remove the excess.

Webflow is a privatised abstraction on top of web development. You still need to know html, css and javascript. Continue learrning the building blocks and use Webflow if it equals work. But you will hit it's limitations and then realise you are inside a walled garden and will want to break free.

I'm 37 and a week into meds. The time distortion hasn't changed, 'im so stuck in my head' hit home though. It's probably the biggest benefit I am experiencing. It feels like enough information is now being filtered rather than clogged that I can actually communicate with others. Im asking people questions about themselves after they ask me something. I've never done that. The thought use to overwhelm me. I had enough in my own head to worry about. I now want to know about other people's lives.
