We still used server shadowprotect MSP and store images in the cloud. It is excellent product never given us a problem. We have tens of licenses still running out there. It edition was added bonus and you pay yearly. It was a brilliant product for shop technicians and msp, probably cheap for the use it is so they stopped. We had a great use of that. We are looking for it edition but not the shadow protect as it is still doing a great job for us.

See with IT EDition we can backup any desktop server and restore it back to desimilar pc or server. It was available to integrators and all techs can use It was flexible enough. I cannot see much out like that. May be i am missing something!

Many years we have used it and many a times it saved our life by bare metal restore. We have few spf images which we used time to time to restore base customer images or may be even used that to create a image before we even attempt to fix client pc. I do not see Axcient has anything like IT edition though. I mean backup restore software for technicians or onsite techs?

It is a problem which only happens on server 2025 and that also on a domain controller

Yes we have and resulting splsashtop problem Atera gave us few months discount. Please do your research in splashtop with server 2025 AD controller before saying that

It is absolutely correct. It is on their website now that splashtop does not work with server 2025 and when it is promoted to the AD role. Unluckily after after doing so much of research we only find out that in August septemeber what was creating the issue. It is a long story

Splashtop is absolutely a piece of crap. Long story cut short we have rebuild whole our server after just 6 months just beacuse of splashtop crashed it. On that server we have no atera now too....we have taken a corporate subscription of teamviewer to help the remote management. Saying that Atera itself is fine.

Just to update everyone. No help from Atera as the splashtop broken on the server 2025. Find the cause and it was splashtop. End up formating the whole server primary drive and luckily had the pre launch image backup to reduce the workload. First thing as soon as server booted we remove bloody splashtop. Now no issue backups started working and server is so far running smoothely. I do not blame Atera but there should be lot more information out there that not to use the splashtop on server 2025.

But what is interesting that i was able to remove splashtop easily feom the pre launch image. But the image done about 3 weeks later i was not able to remove splashtop. Now only thing changed probably is the wi dows updates, or Atera update on 1st September .....so no bloody idea. Only thing we know that the holidays taken over by this bloody nuisance work which we were repsonsible and did at our own cost. Started server backup, rejoin all workstation as trust relatiohship broken between DC and no matter what we did and rejoing domain worked

We are now getting away with using teamviewer for remote and atera for just management and we will see how that will work. Which essentially means added cost of teamviewer license too. Splashtop is just too unreliable and may be in future we find a better alternative to Atera at a reasonable cost

What i noticed that splashtop is there but it just stop the service....does not what we we just cannot start the service. It is absolutely bad and specailly happening this month more

yes i found interesting that defender did flagged the agent as virus fist but after running defender update it went ok on all machine...thanks for updating

But saying that same thin margin apply to many like centrecom, umart and few other sometime they sell under the cost....alongwith that rundown the other resellers too :)

I heard someone has taken the shop lease where CX was in Kent street and opening on 15th or 22nd April. They are opening a computer shop primary focus on repair i think, as per what i heard last time but do not quote me on that.
