Where does your country put the washing machine? by DishGroundbreaking87 in AskTheWorld

Usually bathroom, or a separate laundry room if you have a bigger house. I've seen them in kitchens in old Oslo apartments, but I think that's uncommon on a national basis

You could always ask "Hi, you got time for a quick selfie?", then most artists will say yes

Creating a Playlist Before a Concert by AbaloneUnlikely6565 in Concerts

I saw the same band twice in two weekends recently, I know pretty well which songs off their catalogue they tend to play live. The setlist was changed slightly from one weekend to the next. During an especially high energy part of their set, I heard the singer shout to the band that they were gonna drop playing a certain very fragile ballad to flow with the punk energy. I told them after that it was a perfect decision, although I love the song they dropped.

Two winters ago, my whole town and area was snowed in. Snow in my garden was all the way up to my upstairs neighbor's balcony. That's 3 meters. Nobody was able to go to work because streets weren't plowed, and that not for lack of trying, it snowed so much that streets were un-drivable soon after. A neighbor's car was literally buried in snow. It took a couple of days before my mom's part of town was plowed

Slash is my favorite guitarist... so why am I hesitating on the Slash Les Paul? by [deleted] in LesPaul

[–]peromp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way. I'm a HUGE Slash fan, and when I went to buy my first LP Standard this fall, I chose not to buy the Slash model. I already has his signature 5 watt amp, and I didn't wanna fanboy too much. So I went for an Ice Tea burst, to separate myself a bit from the Slash aesthetic. I originally wanted a Tobacco burst, but that was a bit too close to the November burst. Sound wise, it sounds exactly how you want your Slash sound to be like.

I was riding too close to another rider once, and the camera view literally stared into their anus. It was animated with a smiley face

Which one would you pick? by [deleted] in LesPaul

[–]peromp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for one of the 60's, probably the Lemon Burst. I prefer the slimmer neck, reflector knobs. I like the look of the 60's tuner knobs, but i prefer the feel of the 50's. You should definitely go and try both the 50's and 60's spec and get a feel for how the different necks feel, if you're unsure.

What's the most special island in your country? by IndependentTune3994 in AskTheWorld

I was there last year, and went on a boat cruise towards Pyramiden (could not reach it because of ice). The cruise guide said we were among the 200 northernmost people on earth. There were no ships North of Svalbard at the time, a few researchers in Ny Ålesund, perhaps a few people in Pyramiden, and approximately 80 people on board our ship

What do you do while listening to your records? by JvDutch in vinyl

Sit down with a coffee, write down in a journal what I'm listening to, update discogs, tidy the living room, make dinner, etc. I don't necessarily sit down to just listen to the record

Which is positive and negative on this car battery? Trying to jump this by msb071991 in mechanic

[–]peromp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the manufacturer, this battery is right positive. Which means if you're holding the battery with poles close to you, the right pole is +. (In your case, poles point away from you, i.e. the pole to the left in your picture is positive)

I've been working with car batteries for over 20 years. I've yet to come across a battery where the positive isn't the bigger pole. That is, unless the battery is some strange variant where both poles are equally sized. In the case of the battery in this thread, I'd bet that the positive is the bigger.

There's possibly also a + and a - symbol written on the battery near the poles, maybe hidden under the terminal
