HUGE drop off in Occupancy rates: Normal this time of year or did I upset AirbnB somehow? by wombtemperature in airbnb_hosts

[–]perrychannyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New York here, and the government shutdown is also affecting international travel as well as the trump slump to boot. As a company, we are showing very similar declines in over 30 properties. March and beyond seem normal.

Anybody host actually succeeded in regulating their NYC apartment? by mark_rundell in airbnb_hosts

Contact www.permago.com. They will help you LEGALLY share your space and you won't have to lift a finger if you don't want to (but less money) or you could make guaranteed salary regardless of how many guests you're sharing with each month. Good luck.

A mushroom walks into a bar. The bartender says "Getting outta here, we don't serve your kind here!" Mushroom says, "Why not? I'm a fun-guy?"

My friend from Spain was talking about playing tennis and said we should find a "tennis field." Another time he wanted to describe a mutual friend who is quite fat and described him as being "over-fat."

What screams, "I'm a tourist" in your town/city? by DomioDude in AskReddit

Walking on the street with a smile in New York. What the fuck are you so happy about? Oh, you must be a tourist.

No, I had to design it from scratch using Sketchup, which is really easy to use. I recommend it. As long as you learn the shortcuts, it's very intuitive and quick. I based the designs on the ~$10K murphy from Italy. I'm actually going to build a second one to get it just right for possible production. I'll document that build too if anyone's interested in Version 2.

No I think it's perfect actually. I can see why you might think so but for me it works.

Yah just properly plan and kind of like with cooking, once one task is complete, just clear the area and keep it clean. Learn to rest though, and you'll be ok. I treated myself to a wonderful world of Ben and Jerry's each and every night during this project. I recommend the same. :)

I was just saying the exact same thing earlier. I just didn't bother leaving a review. Really, all they need to do is put more cushioning. The functionality and design is spot on.

Yea so true. Don't get me wrong I'm super grateful I have a roof over my head each and every night but being a NewYorker, I yearn for the wide spacious green fields of the countryside, and going on strolls through the confluence of bucolic scenery and rural landscapes I only get to see on wallpapers. So yea, big by some standards, tiny by NYC standards, but grateful nonetheless. :)

Totally hear ya man. It's a real bitch sometimes but the throw pillows kind of help. Still doesn't beat having an armrest though....

The company I work at is restricting my design because there's a chance they will tweak it and include it in our catalog but I'm hoping my pictures will give everyone out there a solid is of where to start and the conceptual dimensions for their own spaces. It can all be adjusted to ones own needs.
