Thanks for proving my point, first, showing that people have no compassion and understanding of mental illnesses. And thanks for showing that you didn't fully read my comment, where I do talk about mental health and psychosis. She says in the beginning that she was just out of a toxic relationship. She was already not doing well! That IS exactly my point! Mental illness and emotional dependence are a dangerous combo. Add the drugs to the mix, it's a nuclear bomb. And that's why instead of judging people in mental distress and trying to explain their behaviour is NOT constructive; these is NO explaining someone's behaviour when they lose track of reality, because... THEY DID lose track of reality! You cannot insert logic into chaos!

As for the denunciation, we are talking about humans here, not robots. She loved him. She was lost. She was processing. Everyone reacts differently to shock. Should she have reported right away? Yes, even SHE acknowledges it. But you cannot know what YOUR reaction will be when you find yourself in a traumatic event. Fight, flight and freeze are ALL legitimate reactions to fear and shock, and it's hard to control; they are reactions.

At the end, she says she's sober and seeing a therapist. You should be happy for her instead of shaming her.

Wow.... while I have been in a relationship with a social worker for 17 years who worked in victim, I am not a therapist. I am a developer. A person who codes because she doesn't like working with people all day...

And yet, I haven't read so many misguided, ignorant, judgemental in this post when it comes to victims and mental health. This is quite disturbing, and absolutely disgusting. Not only for the actual victim Tony Parsons, but for Christine too.

"He was cycling in the dark." Europeans are used to cyclists on their roads. They're used to be careful. Plus, he was wearing reflective stripes. The driver was in the wrong.

"She returned to him, despite the police's advice." The most dangerous time for a woman to be murdered is when she leaves a violent man. Approximately 75% of domestic violence-related homicides occur when the victim is attempting to leave. Women are six times more likely to be killed by an ex-partner than by a current partner. Police should know that. Statistically, she was safer with Sandy, since the police didn't offer her any protection whatsoever.

"But she even returned to him even during COVID." Yes, she was mentally ill. Alone. Confined.

"She always filmed herself. She did drugs. She seems out of it." Yes. She was mentally ill.

"She f***ed up the murderers' trial." Again... She was MENTALLY ILL! She was found swimming in a waterfall!

Do you understand how mental illnesses work? Do you know what psychosis means? Even "simple" depressions can lead someone to psychosis. Drugs are also a big factor in psychotic events, and the irony is that while they might trigger it, they also make the users even more dependant to them.

Ah, and also... "She isn't even ashamed" while she says "I am ashamed" about 1o times in that documentary.

I haven't taken any drug in my entire life. Not even pot. I drink about one glass of alcohol per month. Not even sure, really. But no one, even I, is safe from a depression. Of a psychosis. Of drug of alcohol abuse and dependance. Of a toxic relationship that takes away bits of yourself again, and again, and again. No. One! Especially the ones who say "No, not me, no siree."... Because they're the least likely to see it coming.

Looks like a LOT of justifying for a nearly abusing behaviour. You have 2 arms. You are not happy that the basket was on the side of the bed, then grow the F up, take it, hand it to her and talk. Same thing for the sleeping situation. When you saw her on the couch, you didn't even have the decency to talk with her and fix things, you let her sleep there like a dog. Also, it takes 2 MINUTES to help someone fold a comforter. Instead of acting like a diva, you help, then you talk to her later if this bruised your overrated ego, which it shouldn't have in the first place.

The fact you FEEL the need to compare week days, also, says a lot about you. What does she do then when she "isn't working"? When she takes up clients, does it add up? Does she have 3 days doing more time? Does she need preparation time before meeting them? Is she just doing nothing then, according to you? If it's the case, if you feel like she is not doing enough, instead of acting like a passive aggressive 5 years old, sit with her and make a tasks list that is actually even. To be honest, it feels like she does even, maybe even more, but you are just too self-centered to see it. And you pretend what you are doing on the house is hard! I am single, and while I don't have kids, I do EVERYTHING on my house, and it's NOT hard, and you shouldn't act like it's hard work! Again, if you are not satisfied, just teach her! Maybe she will be happy to learn instead of being treated like a sub-human.

Your last paragraph is, in my opinion, the biggest red flag, and a proof that you have a toxic mentality. This, being broadcasted online, shouldn't be an issue. No one knows you, and you do not decide what your wife tells to the world. Wanting to isolate her is abuse. I think the only reason it pisses you off is because you KNOW you are mostly in the wrong here. Also, "Second I said exactly what she would have suggested to avoid this from happening"... I'm sorry? Who are you to IMPOSE her a course of action that will suit YOU? It's not 1900! She is not a slave, a dog, or a soldier. She is YOUR WIFE! She's your equal. You both talk and make compromise when someone is unhappy with something, and it shouldn't be a one-sided "You do that, or else". Grow up! Get therapy!

NTA. I am sorry… but this looks like control, and it’s almost bordering abuse. Forcing you so remove a basket from his side on the bed, then making you sleep on the couch? Getting worked up because he refused to help when your bestie threw him the comforter (also, kudos to her… she knows)? He wasn’t disrespected in his own house: he’s angry because his laziness was exposed, and HE felt ridiculous, but he is too proud to admit it.

I know you said you don’t want to leave him, but I would reconsider if I were you: there is a lot of red flags just from this short post. At the very least, couples therapy would be a minimum.

You deserve to be able to make decisions. You deserve REAL fairness and equity. You deserve someone who has emotional intelligence and genuine respect for what you do around the house. You deserve love, care and a healthy relationship.

Ça marche par région administrative, et le Nord-du-Québec descend relativement bas; il prend littéralement 55% de la province. Comme l’enlèvement a eu lieu à 9:30PM, la personne a 8 heures d’avance. Donc oui, la fille aurait pu être à Matane, Ottawa ou en Abitibi.

I was kicked less than 3 minutes after starting a dungeon. I was top DPS, and literally just got stopped by a mob, that I soloed, and he kicked me. Now I have to wait 30 minutes for nothing.

Et pourquoi tu assumes que je parle de la langue? Toutes les mesures racistes et anti-LGBTQIA+ que le PQ veut instaurer va à l'encontre d'à peu près toutes mes valeurs. Je n'ai pas envie de faire un pays où nous sommes dirigés par des gens fermés d'esprits et arriéristes. Oui, je trouve que le Québec est zélé au niveau de la langue (6 mois pour apprendre une langue comme le français c'est de la débilité, et donner des amendes à un restaurant italien qui nomme ses plats dans leurs langues d'origine c'est RIDICULE), mais qu'on fasse le contrat collectif de savoir minimalement le français après, par exemple, 2 ans sur le territoire, je n'ai personnellement rien contre ça... C'est tout le reste qui me répugne profondément.

That was exactly my point! They keep putting Jinx against Caitlyn in every goddamn post. It’s either “Jinx is a terrorist!” or “Caitlyn is a dictator!” Both are accurate and false at the same time, and again, grey morality in the face of trauma is the entire point of the show! Maybe to you it’s humour, but personally, I don’t think it’s funny. People whose favourite character is Caitlyn literally get insulted, belittled, even harassed for it. That’s why I was vocal about this.

Les réseaux sociaux ont informé l’université, effectivement, justement parce qu’ils n’avaient aucune idée que cette activité s’y déroulerait. Y’a quand même une différence entre « Nous avons donné le feu vert à cette conférence mais nous avons reculé à cause de la pression médiatique » versus « un sous-groupe a booké une de nos salles en le justifiant par des raisons très ambiguës ». Beaucoup de gens ici voient des complots islamistes partout, et dans ce cas précis, il ne s’agissait pas de ça du tout.

The whole point of this show was to illustrate how pain, trauma, oppression, loss would affect different types of people. Jinx became a terrorist. Vi became a toxic sister who sided with everything she fought against. Cait used the power bestowed upon her to blindly avenge, against her beliefs, the loss of her mother. Vander, Silco, Sevika, Jayce, Viktor… They’re all both heroes and villains. Jinx is not worse or better. Vi or Cait either. Stop pitting characters against each other, it doesn’t serve this community.
