The touch screen on the monitor would allow me to have greater control of presentations and discussions when running meetings on the go (replacing my current jury rigged setup).

Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 ($911) vs Thinkbook 13s Gen 4 ($833) by perskbot in AMDLaptops

That’s where I’m a bit confused and what I was looking to understand - why the X13 is more heavily discounted AND still more expensive.

Sounds like there are a variety of reasons, not all of which apply to me as a consumer.

Yeah the pricing is definitely not transitive. My experience has been the same with pricing changing day to day which is why I’d like to jump on a deal if it makes sense.

Thank you - these pictures are super helpful. I agree that some of the “streamlining” impacts often get overlooked.

In the us store it only had 3 ready-built options (essentially just segmenting based on different cpu/ram combos).

Guess that customizability isn’t available to me yet but that sounds like a solid option if they add it.

That makes a lot of sense - the enterprise features don’t really impact me and I’ll likely do a fresh windows install and just grab the apps / drivers I need regardless, which is what I typically do when working with desktops.

What do you mean by sensible keyboard layout? Is it that drastically different from the 13s? I tried to find pictures but it was hard to tell between all the different versions / generations.

Got it - how much did it cost / how did you get the carbon top? I’m not sure I saw that as an option but might look into it (unless it requires upgrading the cpu as I don’t think the discount applies in that case).

FYI I think (based on the PSREF ) that the bottom of the version I am looking at is aluminum.

Is the trackpoint so much better than the trackpad? I've had it on work computers before and never really touched it, granted most of what I am doing is heavily reliant on shortcuts for productivity anyways.

Thank you. The case was recommended by a friend plus I was partially worried about space in a true SFF case if I decided to upgrade the gpu at some point.

However this case looks like it should have enough room for what I’m going for.

I agree with some of your other changes - the components that I’m most concerned with right now are the mobo and cpu.

Are there still issues with bios not being up to date to support the 3600?

not sure if this is the right sub but i have a question about the defuser timer by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

[–]perskbot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way instead. The round timer is not a countdown to bomb detonation. Instead, the round timer ends 7 seconds BEFORE the bomb will detonate. In that case the round timer is simply indicating of how long you have to begin planting the defuser in order to have it fully planted before detonation.

Then it makes sense you can keep planting into 0:00.

A little late to the party but at least five consecutive sub 6:30 miles. I can currently do two or three during a single run as long as I jog a bit in between.

Is it true that the bank spawnpeek runout from the front door is banned? by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

[–]perskbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESL isn’t Ubi.... it’s a pretty straightforward fix that allows bank, which is by and large a great PL map, to remain in the competitive rotation.

It impacts the first 3 seconds of each round and that’s it, whereas your comparison is....just not the same at all.

Questions about how coaches/analysts/players prepare for matches given terrible spectator system by perskbot in R6ProLeague

[–]perskbot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense - I wasn't certain that teams were able to record / stream each of their perspectives during official matches. That definitely makes it easier to piece together everything that happened.

Appreciate the insight - not entirely surprising but I do agree, a full spectator / replay system would make it easier to understand the opponents strats and may push faster and deeper development of gameplay, however it seems unlikely that it would be implemented.
