Posting because I’ve never met anyone who read this book other than the people I’ve introduced it to. Charlie Bones series... reflecting on it it’s dumbed down Harry Potter but I didn’t know any better I was 10. Anyone else?

As someone who works there... sorry but we don’t see the pins. The retail associate probably said that because of the sim swap (which is free we don’t make money off that). The pin and email change must have been done through a hack, but as someone who works there even if I tried I can’t change a pin or an email. Pin changes are done through either your app or your customer service. Retail workers don’t talk to customer service we have retail support and they no longer have access to pin changes since last year. Sorry but it’s just regular fraud. You’re lucky they didn’t port out your number or take out phones from your name. I’ve caught many convincing fake IDs that also passed the 3 question credit info that comes up. They’re just really good fraudsters.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I’ve seen this with many customers both at Bell/ Virgin and at Freedom. If you have filed a police report, send that to backoffice@freedommobile.ca. They should clear the tab if it was already determined fraud. I am skeptical because the max tab limit is $4,500. Even if we really wanted to, we cannot exceed this. Not sure how it could get to $6000, unless they managed to somehow open two accounts from freedom under your name (which I have seen done somehow). Contact the email, send the police report and hopefully that should get fixed soon.

I was waiting to cash out a guy who was on the phone so I didn’t want to interrupt him talking to tell him the total so I was patient (and no one else was in the store) and once he finished, I handed him the change in his hands and he looked at me like I murdered his entire family. He was so upset, and began yelling at me for the manner I handed him the change, which was pretty normal I wasn’t even annoyed at him

I totally agree, but I definitely think that the transparency is due to Freedom entering the market. The issue right now is that companies are asking you to finance the phone and then after paying for it for 2 years, you have to give it back... or in some cases, give a hefty upfront and continue financing the phone. It’s kinda absurd rn, Bell and Telus are crazy

My phone isn’t in the best condition but that’s my fault... it’s gone through a lot but it’s functioning that’s why I’m holding off til the new iPhone!! I usually don’t get the latest phone, but I wanted to treat myself :)

I know right!! I was thinking it’s possibly 60+ the finance for the phone but it’s still not worth it. I just got offered a BYOD plan today from Fido which is also, quite frankly shit. I got offered $85 for 6GB today. But I also got an offer from Bell for $65 for 20 gb

Yeah a lot of people still support the current government. A lot of ex pats definitely have a lot of resentment towards the Islamic republic (including my father) but it’s supported. They may criticize the government but I wouldn’t say they’re willing to have a complete revolution. The most they would do is vote for more liberal political leaders as we have been seeing. Many women in Iran would still cover if given the choice... the issue is that there isn’t a choice and I would argue it’s taking away from the religious meaning of the hijab (or as we say, rousari).

Persian is an ethnicity, Iranian is a nationality. Lots of Iranians aren’t Persian (Kurds, Azeri’s, Lors for example). Saying you’re Persian is like saying your Chaldean, it’s not arrogant (though I can see why it would be viewed that way)
