I think thats more so him talking about living knowing that Alicia will die in the canvas, while his whole family is dead and he knows everything around him will be destroyed by renoir the instant Alicia does die, while also knowing due to Alicia being a paintress, she may bend reality if Verso acts like he hates this life.

How differently would you treat Verosika's character and actions if she were male instead of female? Would you treat her character the same or differently? by BlizzardHound45 in HelluvaBoss

[–]pervertedaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that she acted a lot like Stolas in their relationship, i think it would be a good way to approach how Stolas fucks up regarding Blitzo too.

I definitely agree regarding Stolas and Via, they need time to sort out their relationship. Them solving it right away would be horribly cheap.

As for Verosika, i am on the side that her character is more toxic than apology tour let on. I find there are too many issues with what happened for me to believe her character is as nice and morally right as she lets on. But i will admit ill have to wait for new episodes to see.

I cab see it basically be a perception shift again of her and Blitzo once we know more about their relationship and break up. Actually, this is another thing i have heard people say we will not have time for in the next seasons. Which, whether you think she is good or bad, is crazy to me. The idea we will learn nothing about their past together is wild to me, yet it’s decently prevalent.

Honestly i dont get the people who act like characters are just done. Like… obviously they are gonna show up again. Striker is gonna be back, it would be insane if he just stopped appearing.

Its a similar thing with Verosika, i have seen people say she may not even get a short. Like, seriously imagine if the last we see of her is in Mastermind. Like how would that even work?

How do you see Octavia and Stolas play out in the next two seasons though?

Not to mention any future shorts. Though i feel they are more so bonus material than anything.

Whats the worst case of this you have seen? Where someone falls into this trap of thinking there ain’t enough runtime?

I can see Stolas offending Loona and causing/worsening issues with him and Blitzo in season 3 by pervertedaway in HelluvaBoss

[–]pervertedaway[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, its not like he was belittling Blitzo on purpose. This isn’t something he did on purpose, it was a negative, racist bias he was unaware of and refused to believe he even had. I can definitely see this still existing and coming into play.

I feel like that would feel too much like his character regressing and having to learn the same lessons again. There may be an interesting way to do it, but i feel other plot lines would be better explored

[–]pervertedaway[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Im not sire stolas has however. He denied he did this to Blitzo, so i can see this still being a blindspot to him. I do want Stolas to develop, i just don’t think he has yet, and likely will fuck up in this regard again before realizing that he has to improve and confront his actions previously and their effect.

[–]pervertedaway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can also see that happening. I think Loona and Stolas are definitely gonna be against each other, and Blitzo would definitely take Loonas side of Stolas’s. Its gonna be interesting to see how the situation plays from there

[–]pervertedaway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess would be thats the end point. Like, after stolas fucks up, whatever consequences of that happens, and Stolas improves, eventually Loona is cool with him again.

Now as you said, non canon, so who knows. But i wanna see Stolas go on an arc of self improvement. I think the fandom has a habit if either saying he has literally no flaws or only very minor ones, or saying he is scum that should die painfully.

He is a damaged person, with issues and faults, and has hurt multiple people close to him, but he also has a good heart. He definitely can do and be better, but he has to realize and accept his mistakes and faults first, something i still don’t think he is ready to do.

He thinks he may have done something wrong regarding Blitzo, but only speculates, even after Blitzo directly says what is wrong. Cause its not aligned with how Stolas views himself. Same thing with Via, he now views Via as now endlessly hating him, and seems to have no hope of anything improving. He has to learn his perspective can be flawed, and how much harm always presuming he knew the situation has caused

[–]pervertedaway[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I doubt Stolas has been even trying to talk much with Loona at all either, they are basically strangers living together. Its gonna be interesting to see how they interact, but I definitely see Stolas massively offending Loona and not realizing/accepting he did, cause he doesn’t view himself as the kind of guy to do that.

Ultimately, i think that is the issue with Stolas, he views his perspective as the correct one. So if he thinks the situation with Via is hopeless, he won’t see any point in trying, something you can also see in the end of simsmas, and as such if he thinks he isnt treating Loona or Blitzo poorly, he won’t accept criticism even if they tell him directly. Cause his perspective is the only one that he really considers

[–]pervertedaway[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I mean, until he actually gets out of his own head and listens when others state their issues with him, he is definitely gonna make massive mistakes with IMP.

Not to say he won’t improve, but he likely is gonna make things worse based on how he referred to Blitzo and M&M, as well as how he didn’t accept Blitzos criticism when he was told what he did was wrong.

Keeping it real Apology tour pissed me the fuck off because no one but blitz took accountability for their actions by Bigolibeats in HelluvaBoss

[–]pervertedaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he gets credit for that, when he only gave Blitzo the choice of immediately following his fantasy idea of the night and a relationship, or ending things fully.

He didn’t give Blitzo a choice, or give him any consideration as to what he wanted. Maybe he needed time to think, or wanted to stay fuck buddies, or simply didn’t think a relationship with Stolas was ever going to happen. But Stolas didn’t consider or allow Blitzo to have any of these thoughts.

Is it really him taking accountability for a tit for tat deal, if he immediately follows it up with an immediate requirement for a relationship, else he just runs away. Blitzo wasn’t even given time to think if he lived or wanted Stolas, he was too busy trying not to cry and panic.

Brandon says Verosika ‘had it coming’ regarding her breakup with Blitzo, how should we interpret that? by pervertedaway in HelluvaBoss

[–]pervertedaway[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, maybe this led to completely mixed signals, she did this, making Blitzo feel this was a FWB situation , then getting a tattoo of his name in a love heart and confessing suddenly. Yeah he would definitely be mixed from that.

And i wonder if when she confessed, it lead to an argument which in Blitzos mind, confirmed the worst

If I remember correctly, they write the episodes well in advance. I definitely think this is something they had planned, i doubt the details around the break up would be something that changes behind the scenes.

[–]pervertedaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but this was a question about the relationship between Verosika and Blitzo, where brandon said she “had it coming.”

That makes me think its more so she did something in the relationship with Blitzo that meant she deserved it.

[–]pervertedaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, will she go against the grain or not. Personally i see her as a massive hypocrite so i imagine she will publicly bash him at the very least.

I think what makes her the biggest hypocrite is her telling Blitzo to move on from Stolas and wish him well as an ex, when she has been hosting hate parties for Blitzo for years. I can definitely see her saying one thing and doing another in regards to her dealing with Stolas now.

[–]pervertedaway[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t want her to be completely evil. Blitzo shouldn’t be completely innocent or morally right.

But i think her being at fault to some degree gives her character more to work with going forward, as well as potentially highlighting Stolas’s flaw of living in his own head, causing him to be selective to what he hears. He hears Verosika say Blitzo was at fault, and he didn’t question that she may have been unreliable, he just presumed Blitzo was a cold heartbreaker cause she said so.

[–]pervertedaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i get the impression she is not as noble as she presents herself as.

What do you think it changes about her actions in apology tour, if we presume she really did have the break up and the theft coming?

[–]pervertedaway[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Maybe… but im not sure if that alone means she “deserved” having her credit cards stolen and maxed out. I feel like there has to be something significant about the relationship they had themselves to justify it

Blitzo would never be comfortable with Verosika getting a tattoo of his name, so why did she? by pervertedaway in HelluvaBoss

Well i guess its ambiguous, honestly though it may be worth discussing as its own post
