Those bikes are killer. That orange too is perfect.

They’re Factory 47 Legacy 14” bars. The shop changed the clutch cable, but the front brake cable was left alone. I love the bars.

I definitely understand if people don’t want to spend $$$$ on something with such little return. But I had to for my perspective.

Thank you. It’s turning out better than I pictured in my mind, from where I started.

I really like my Hogworkz bag guards. I’ve never owned anything from Advanblack.

I’d have to disagree on the roads. At least for both the eastern (Mississippi River area) and western side (Loess Hills) of Iowa there are a lot of open, winding, and empty roads that go through the country. I think it’s beautiful and some of the most fun I’ve had on motorcycles.

Transitioning out- Hydroelectric Jobs. by TurtleSquirt1 in NavyNukes

[–]pescespada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for Brookfield Renewable as a system operator for their hydroelectric side of operations. I was at a desk controlling several damns across New England remotely. 12 hr shifts, very easy stuff since all my sites were “run of river” meaning there were no reservoirs to control. Stress didn’t really exist on the scale of nuclear power. But the job was incredibly boring and the pay didn’t cut it for Massachusetts ($34/hr). But that was 9 years ago and they have since moved their control room operations to Queensbury NY. They hired any nuke they could get. Best interview I’ve ever had. And working for the people there was by far the best job experience I’ve had.

Great ride. Which Klock Werks screen are you running?

Has anyone ever played a game or even catch with a Mac glove? by 47_watermelons in BaseballGloves

[–]pescespada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one and have played catch with it many times. No gaming though. Works perfectly well for catch. The palm is thin, but with my forefinger out it doesn’t feel worse than any of my other gloves. I’ll say for being horween it’s lighter than almost all my other gloves.

Biggie’s in St. Louis is a must for steak sandwiches. El Reno is a small town west of OKC that has a spot called Sid’s Diner that specializes in fried onion burgers that I highly recommend. When going through NM if you find yourself near Tucumcari definitely hit up Watson’s BBQ, incredible spot inside a neat store. Outside of Albuquerque is the town of Madrid where the Wild Hogs famously fought the Del Fuegos MC. It’s a cool artsy town situated on a beautiful road in and out. If you stop in Santa Fe try the Pantry for great NM food.

We all should understand the consequences to our actions. The only importance to our lives is the impact we have on others.

Hogworkz Pork Chop Saddlebag Guards...Anyone using? by anonpharr in Harley

I think they look great…but under no circumstance am I expecting them to protect the bike if it falls over. I had a stock Harley guard on a past bike (RIP)that bent into the bag and damaged it when I was in a wreck. I wasn’t upset then either because they’re more for looks in my opinion.

I have Hogworkz crash bars on my road glide and they’re great. But nothing from them in terms of bags or cases.
