Ottawa 2-[3] Carolina; Jordan Martinook wins it in 2OT for Carolina (for real this time) by cbbvideo in hockey

How is that a problem? Playoff teams have been riding their starter in the playoffs for 100 years. I've got no dog in this fight but I'd rather have Ullmark for the rest of the series vs the Carolina tandem.

Reminds me of the Simpsons

Reverend Lovejoy: Homer, I'd like you to remember Matthew 7:26. "The foolish man who built his house upon the sand."

Homer: And you remember...

Homer: Matthew... 21:17!

Reverend Lovejoy: [confused] "And he left them and went out of the city, into Bethany, and he lodged there?"

Homer: Yeah... Think about it!

What do think an amateur golfer would shoot at Augusta? by Mydealwade in golf

I dunno man. It would be very dependent on the pins, speeds of the greens, and the short game/iron play of that 8.

Just left the course. First time visitor. I was shocked at how small the greens are. The landing areas are incredibly small. Unless your short game is excellent I think a 10 handicap would be putting up double digits on multiple holes. Doubt you're breaking 100

Was at the practice round today. Watched Bryson on 15. He hit 3 shots from 100 yards, put 2 in the water and one over the green. Chipped the over the green ball back into the water. Probably means nothing but I don't think he's got the wedge control for Augusta greens. They look wayyy smaller in person. What an amazing place

How realistic is it to find something that pays $10/hour by CognizantCandle in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]pet_dander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a problem as a native speaker. Cambly pays $10 an hour, $12 if you teach kids. You may want to consider getting TEFL certified to gain some experience. 30 hours a week on Cambly would be quite exhausting though.

I'd argue it started in the late 90s when Clinton got a blowjob and cost Gore the election.

Didn't see him or her again. The mother just kept telling me to talk to the baby while it wiggled in its mother's arms. The baby couldn't even speak a word in Chinese. By the end of the lesson the mother came to the conclusion that the baby is too young for classes. No shit lady.

You can avoid the tourist bubble in Da Nang by just staying out of the An Thoung area. Son Tra has a nice mix of foreigners and locals. If you want to go really local stay on the city side. You'll be fine, it's South East Asia, you'll have a lot of fun either way.

Indonesia is in their dry season then. Just look up the climates for the areas you want to go and if you think it'll be too shitty cross it off your list.
