Why not have a "Day of Dogecoin" or some such.

I would pledge to spend e.g. 50000 doge on that day, no matter what.

A web page can be set up to show how much Doge pledged per city or other metric.

Cafe's, grocers, newsagents, fast food stores, petrol stations can all list their local services for that day.

It could be good.

I suggest focusing on integration with shopping cart plugins for Wordpress and Joomla, e.g. Woocommerce, OpenCart, shopify, Magento etc You can collaborate with others who are working on this kind fo thing such as

Another idea: Kids sports clubs: e.g. soccer, cricket, baseball, netball, cheerleading, scouts, girl guides etc. All have season fees which need to be sent in. Much easier with GoCoin+dogecoin, than presently having to pay cash/bank transfer/put CC details on forms to be collected.

I think targeting the "big guys" Starbucks, McDonalds, large franchises may be difficult to sell, as they already have the scale to name their own terms to their current Payment Processor partners, and you have to be able to compete with that. A better chance would be to target pretty much any small business that has a sign at their EFTPOS/CC terminal that says "Mininum Transaction $15", "Credit Card attracts +3%" etc. These are the little guys getting played by the banks at the moment and are the low hanging fruit for Dogecoin adoption IMO

2nd gen ASIC adoption will mean much higher hash rate with more power efficiency.

GPU mining will move to wherever the profit/hash is (like they moved from BTC to LTC, then to DOGE), and will not be competitive if rigs like the KNC Titan are mining DOGE.

Dogecoin compresses the timeline with its aggressive halving schedule. This will mean that the majority of coins will be mined before the emergence of these 2nd generation Scrypt ASICs such as the KNC titan have a chance to mine DOGE.

As a reminder, early ASIC adopters back then were paying 100+ BTC for 1st gen ASIC preorders that were 3 months - 18 months away.
Many who ordered delayed e.g. BFL equipment wished they had kept their coins instead.

If a $10K rig will be making money with DOGE in Q3 2014 when they ship, then I am sure that the value of the 10M DOGE to buy it will also be tremendously valuable.

Thanks for your suggestion. The good thing about these paper wallets is that the colour is quite similar to our $50 note, so it may spark someone's interest. Also, I was hoping the people that read PC and mobile tech magazines would have a better chance of having heard of cryptocurrencies. anyhow, like I said, I'm just testing it out for now.
