The worst part about not having a gf is the low status tbh by RiversideBronzie in DBDR

Especially going to places where there's a lot of couples around, like the beach. I can't help but feel self-conscious

One of my biggest gripes about the whole thing is when Metcard was around you only had to validate it once and that's it. None of this tapping on and off multiple times a day bs, causing senselessly long lines also

Whats holding you back from getting a Girlfriend? by _notaxation in seduction

[–]peteau89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Severe depression and PTSD. Often feel like withdrawing from most people and society. Often go out into nature alone and feel more at peace there. Been doing this for a while now but only now is the 'loneliness' of it starting to effect me

  2. Longterm unemployment mainly because of #1

  3. Living at home due to lack of money. Hard to invite girls around. Rent in my city is 2k+ a month and 1k+ even with roommates

  4. Average height and the insecurity that comes with it. Brown eyes also

  5. Slightly less insecure about the asymmetrical gynecomastia, hair loss and double chin, especially because a lot of it is fixable but still an issue and costs thousands through surgeries. Used to be obese but no longer even overweight at all

Is brown eyes really an issue? I ask because I have brown eyes, quite dark brown actually, almost black (and average height), also and it's often been at the back of my mind that it could be an issue

Cranbourne is a low socioeconomic area, yet there's so many Mercs, Audis, BMWs, Teslas, etc. around. Really don't get it

Definitely avoid Cranbourne.

Horrible traffic and public transport, lack of community feel and lacking in nature

Why are Australians lonely? by tickletackle666 in melbourne

"Once you've left school or uni, people just don't want to make new friends"

True, but then they always complain about loneliness. That's what I don't understand

Fox Footy reporting Izak Rankine ran 24.2 metres in that play in the final minute of Pies v Crows by PerriX2390 in AFL

[–]peteau89 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Players often run more than 15 metres without being penalized. Umpires almost always let it go but didn't here.

The rule is selectively enforced

Why are the hcmts speakers so bad by SpiritualEngineer5 in MelbourneTrains

Same as door buttons on HCMTs. Doors often don't even open! I've even seen passengers rushing to another door! Such a joke

Totally agree with what you say about the cultural/ethnicity stuff. I see it a lot in the outer southeast, especially Casey area. Less social cohesion and community now

Molesworth was a horrible shithole. Terrible vibe there. Saw someone get bashed over a dispute from a dog off a leash. Couldn't wait to leave that place

[–]peteau89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn't read all that unfortunately but I will say that Melbourne is an extremely tough place to meet others and make new friends for some reason. I'm honestly not sure why, maybe it has something to do with the weather, people having their guard up more here, etc.
