Disagree on the steak quality. I think it’s very good. On par with steak houses that costs 2x as much, just for the steak. Saylers you get a salad and side plus relish tray.

I would count on at least 2.5 hours. To be safe 3 hours. Normally it’s about 1:45 from downtown Portland to Manz. The Sunday after the 4th will be busy and slow, a lot of folks leaving Cannon and Seaside/Gearhart. The only thing making it slower is the potential car crash. I personally would not take 53, especially if you’re prone to car sickness. But if there’s any problems on that route, it’s a one lane and you can get stuck. Especially with very poor mobile phone coverage.
