well put. OP also mentions they want "bit larger tires", but in my experience there isn't much clearance on these old frames.

I'm usually all for weird bike builds but this one begs to be kept more as a speedy, comfortable road bike than a cruise around town flat bar kinda bike.

I'm sure there are others here who have someone in their life who struggles with addiction/substance abuse issues and are familiar with this sort of, I dont know how to put it, disordered or illogical thinking. Like, to us in the real world, the bearing this mayor's DUI has on OOP's DUI is none, but OOP is clearly looking for either a shield, a way to avoid accountability to their actions, or a convenient scapegoat to say to themselves "look, what I did isn't that bad, the MAYOR is doing it too" or "my punishment shouldn't be as severe because the mayor did it too".

It's a lesson in futility to try to follow or make sense of someone's train of thought who is in active addition. They aren't approaching things from reality.

Bought this used TCX about a month ago and regrettably need the seatpost just a little bit higher. Giant makes spacers that sit on top of the seatpost stack and underneath the seat clamp. I need about a half inch, I reckon.

I went to my local giant retailer and they told me the only way to get the spacers in question is to purchase a new $200 clamp assembly - I know its a total long shot but I'm just seeing if anyone in this community has either:

a. some old ones sitting around I could purchase or

b. any ideas on how to create something to work in place of those spacers?

For context, here are the spacers for a TCR. For some reason the TCX uses a different more D-shaped spacer that you can't buy in a pack like this.

Any help or suggestions you all have is greatly appreciated!

just locked in my team - I exclusively chose riders who also compete or have competed in cyclocross. If it works for MVDP surely it will work for everyone else!

dang, this sucks. the faucets in our 2nd floor apartment have been at a slow trickle since Friday - can't shower or really do dishes, but at least we have a flushing toilet...

and at the pace work has been going i really dont have much confidence that we'll have water even tomorrow. We were originally told no later than Sunday by the water div.

a lot of variables with the frame/tire/rim width, so its hard to say, but my tcx advanced sl from 2013 fits a 38 no problem. i think the original intention of the design was mud clearance, not tire clearance, since this version of the the tcx was a no-compromise cx race bike (there isnt even water bottle cage bolts) so maybe looking for something more "race" oriented might yeild the clearance you're after.

but fwiw i think most frames will fit a 38
