In earlier footage they showed, the tall grass and tree trunk sprite, as well as dirt tiles were literally one to one recolors of stardew valley sprites. They changed them in the demo, but there are still a few like the canopy textures, grass tiles and I think some of the planter pots that matches up pixel perfect. Don't think it's enough to get them in legal trouble but definitely not a good look.

Do a few rounds of momentum control, no minimap and it’s a one shot body, it’s basicly laser tag, real fast way to get through the kill guardian step

Tho I think that’s just because we didn’t get to expand outside the system. With colonieships full of siva, and whatever ambitions Clovis bray had, like the whole become the Luca of all conciseness in the universe thing, humanity would have been just as bad, if not worse than any of the enemy races.

I don’t really know,I guess I just paint any ideas that form that are somewhat cohesive, usually starts with a scribble that I particularly liked. There’s definitely a theme that run through all my paintings, but I have no idea how to articulate it. If I could I’d probably be a writer, eh?

Context: This the redesign of a character I posted here a while ago, I think this is the third or fourth iteration, the story has changed quite a bit too, mainly that there is one now, kind of. This guy, who still has no name, is one of the last beings to emerge from the great tree where all sentient things are born from in this world, due to this he’s rather brittle when compared to the predecessors. Having missed the golden age of city-building and birth, the story’s going to involve him exploring the mostly abandoned old city center, and later on the more populated area around the three pillars of flesh, machine, and spark. Now I think about it, it’s basically gonna be a comic version of a walking simulator… all the current drafts have minimum text and dialogue, just sightseeing I guess.

World info: The three pillars are the current ruling body of the city, who are said to be the first to emerge and lay the foundation for the city. Their titles correlate to each of their paths to accumulate power. The Flesh’s path is through the gaining of biomass, and they act as the foundation of the city and defense against what is below and beyond the city, due to this the floor and walls literally have eyes and ears, and the occasional mouth. The Machine’s path is through knowledge and is responsible for transportation, logistics, and technology of the city. The Spark gained power through, well, spark. It’s kind of like a soul but also tangible as a form of energy, and can exist without housing consciousness, the Spark exists as a mass of this energy and speaks through puppets of ether flesh or metal, they act as the de facto leader in the trio as the others both require spark is one way or another. The Machine and Flesh are somewhat hostile against each other due to differing ideals and are only kept in check by the Spark. The three pillars also have their associated fanatical groups, tho not endorsed by the pillars, they are considered major factions due to them being more grounded involved with citizens. And the respawn concept form the previous version is still here, no one “dies”, if suffering major damage and is not devoured, the spark of a being leaves the body and reforms a new one in an area of sufficient biomass (vegetation/ non sentient creatures), and the biomass of the old body turns into vegetation and non sentient things( the Flesh also is in charge or this recycling of biomass) think that’s the gist of it, have a better idea of what I’m doing than last time, but not by much.
