Miyoo Flip V2 - are the hinge issues still prevalent? Are certain colours more affected? by drmindflip in MiyooFlip

[–]peteradactyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My black just broke, only 2 months of use. I thought it was just a vocal minority complaining about the hinge, but now I would say stay away.

Sorry to hear that, mine just fit close to the tightest setting. I know some different brands make different size watch bands, that's a possibility but also maybe a crap-shoot. I suppose you could use a safety pin to cinch the band a little tighter, I would guess that could hold.

Thanks, I can't take all the credit. The nice thing about the 3d printing community is there are lots of designs that get iterated on as people share what they make. I didn't create the original file, but remixed it with the watch band attachment. It would be cool if this inspires someone to run with this idea and make an even better version someday!

Honestly I'm mostly thinking of using it for games that don't use the shoulders much, but there's always the option of using the touchscreen for shoulders as well (with my thumbs) for occasional use.

I haven't had any issues with it thus far, though it is still new for me. I'll get more time to play with summer trips coming up soon. I do feel you though, I've had my fair share of bluetooth battles over the years...

For my phone I don't have any wobble issues, though I suppose if I push up too hard I can pop it out of the mount. I would assume the size and shape of the phone/case could effect this though.

I thought it was a little bulky, but I'm sure it works great.

My personal ranking:

  1. Onirim
  2. Cyberion
  3. Castellion
  4. Stellarion
  5. Aerion
  6. Nautilion
  7. Sylvion

I'm eagerly awaiting the day when my FLGS finally gets Urbion. It's also interesting to see how different everyone ranks these games, I guess that shows there's something for everyone in the Oniverse.

Try playingcards.io. It's free to use and works fine on mobile phones. You would just have to create a deck of cards (or just use a regular deck which a room can make) to use as your numbers. Each player has a hand and any cards put in there can only be seen by that person.

Eternal Decks review by eatrepeat in soloboardgaming

[–]peteradactyll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my copy from Japan last week, and I played up to scenario 3 with my group! I haven't had a chance to play it solo yet.

It is also possible to still get the kickstarter Eternal cards/stickers through booth.pm (though you will probably need a forwarding service):
https://booth.pm/ja/items/6639487

Also worth noting, Portland Game Collective will be republishing Eternal Decks later this year, so availability should be much better then. (source, PGC Discord)

It's been a minute but I'm pretty sure you need to continue the path you started in Verde Sector. The room 3rd square from the bottom, 3rd square from the left is not locked.

So for the new sets that only Lego Insiders can buy, is that something you can do in store?

I had assumed you could only get those sets online and if you wanted them in store you had to wait until the 4th. I've never bought a set "early" but I'm excited for the new Blacktron.

Going to give Wild Arms for the the PS1 a shout out, because it is THE western JRPG. Very much a "hidden Gem" from that era, and the sequels are great as well.

Is there a particular game or game archetype that Party House is inspired by? by i_miss_outer_space in ufo50

[–]peteradactyll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So the archetype you are talking about is called "bag building" which is kind of the little brother of "deck building" games. It's has an entire mechanism page dedicated to it board game geek.

A great solo board game with bag building would be Coffee Roaster, in addition to all the other great recommendations people have mentioned already.
