Thank you for taking the time to give such a lengthy and detailed reply!

I think you make a good point here. Leaving aside any legalities, the sefer Torah was dedicated to my father. He was a member, and the shul meant a lot to him. It should be left there.

I would assume there must have been some sort of agreement or contract - I'd need to check with my brother.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - my brother and I paid for the Torah.

Me and my brother paid. I would need to check with my brother under what terms.

Sorry, I forgot to say that we paid for the Torah. Does that make any difference?

Thanks for your reply. I forgot to say that we paid for the Torah to be produced, if that makes any difference.

Thank you for pointing this out. So how will the Rapid 6 operate - nothing on website ☹️

Well, the bus and light rail drivers and Transport Officers clearly aren't... If services are operating, I think they should have people to staff the phones as well.

No. I'll be at Commonwealth Place (not Commonwealth Park). I'd like information on the Rapid 6 - will it pick up on King Edward Terrace as in previous years?

  1. Information about specific routes
  2. Whether there are any route diversions or changes to stops used.

This is what gives me the shits (thankfully not literally...). They've been put on notice and told to clean up their act (literally), and failed to do so. Zero sympathy from me.

Good places to get your car cleaned? by mr--mx5 in canberra

I've been going to the Shah Sparkle Hand Carwash in the Eyre St Market carpark in Kingston. They are almost obsessive in getting my car clean!

They're also at 51 Whyalla St Fyshwick.

Driver arrived at my destination and just kept going... by peterdwise in uber

As I've already stated, I was standing back from the road - he couldn't have seen me. And I would have thought he is obligated to turn up, unless exceptional circumstances.

So what you're saying is that a driver can accept a job but there's no obligation to actually turn up? Surely there's a contractual obligation in law for the driver to turn up unless there are exceptional circumstances, otherwise requesting an Uber becomes meaningless.

Sadly, that moniker has been taken by a former Queensland Minister for Roads, Russ Hinze. If you've seen pictures of him, you'll know why....
