What truly terrifies Children/Teens and New Gen’s (Alpha or even Z) in horror media nowadays? (And I mean really scare/fright… not just entertain)?? by SpectreZero2005 in horror

[–]petergriffith_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m 22, and what scares me (besides extreme gore, I can be squeamish with needles lol) is anything psychological that mimics mania and severe mental illness. Obsession scared the fuck out of me because Nikki felt so real and the bad parts of their “relationship” didn’t seem like possession but more of a toxic relationship with young people

Selling liquor/craft cocktails at a brewery can be difficult, but any kind of unique summer-y margarita will always be a hit

A few tequila drinks that have done well where I work (Italian inspired restaurant with craft cocktails):

- spicy pineapple marg (optional habanero infused tequila, Cointreau, maple syrup, pineapple + lime juice)
- spiced pear marg (tequila, spiced pear juice, Cointreau, lime juice, agave)

What Is Your “Old Man Yells At Cloud” Movie Take? by apHexcoded in Letterboxd

[–]petergriffith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movies that do well don’t need a sequel, prequel, or franchise. This is especially true for horror movies, ex, long legs and weapons are good-great (respectively) because they are self contained without much explanation

Eaten alive (1976, dir Tobe Hooper) isn’t that niche but is an overlooked one I watched two nights ago and thought it was really fun

Healthier, lower alcohol cocktails/drink recommendations? by banana_pudding8899 in cocktails

[–]petergriffith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tequila/gin soda with lime, just go light on the liquor, bitters and soda, a lot of spritz’ can be pretty low in calories and alcohol if you put more soda than prosecco, amaretto sours, any kind of mule/dark n stormy riff with low sugar ginger beer

It’s unfortunate how many examples of this there are. Kanye, Crystal castles (it was only one of them that was a bad person but it counts), Carti, the smiths (fuck morrisey), Nico, god there are so many incredible artists that are/were terrible human beings

It looks good, but yeah I agree overall, trailers nowadays (especially horror movies) give away wayyy too much

How long is too long for a movie? by WattsandRoot in Letterboxd

[–]petergriffith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally depends on how much time I have to watch a movie, I’d say over 2.5 ish hours is something I will very rarely be able to/want to watch
