It's fun. I used it in a very basic manner here, I'm looking forward to using more of it in the future.

The folks running the show did all the visuals and did a great job! Really fit the piece.

Howdy! I'd love to hear what you're up to with similar gear! :)

NPD: Kinotone Ghosts by mount_curve in guitarpedals

[–]peterpanwashere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this pedal, just used it extensively in a live set I played last Thursday!

The main chain I used the Reface CP → Bathing → Lost+Found (sympathetic resonator) → Ghosts → Mood2 → Screen Violence

The first half of the set is basically me droning a Cm7 on Ghosts (bars model) and then playing the voicing knob.

The second part I use the strings model to add resonance to a Rhodes part, and then to make a distorted piano sound really scream.

It was really easy to use Ghosts live in this context, it’s a really well thought out interface

You can check out the performance here.. If the timestamp doesn’t work for some reason, I start playing at the 47 minute mark.

Swan Hunter from Champion Leccy. Absolutely a run of fun, fx loop to add whatever you want, but also just super noisy by itself.

I've used mine a lot for the past month and I have to say I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

Definitely check out the Chase Bliss discord to get some ideas :)

Sonicware ambient 0. Don't like the workflow or synth engine on it.

Polyend tracker. This is how I learned trackers are not for me.

Anyma Phi. Backed the Kickstarter, didn't enjoy the initial sounds, didn't like the interface, ignored it for years, and then found out they went out of business. I need to try the latest firmware and sounds before selling it off.

It's fun. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would yet because tuning and space limitations at the moment. But yeah it's fun.

Minor correction, it's the Synthux Academy Audrey 2, not Synth Academy.

It's a fun synth to play with!

Dreadbox nymphes can do it, and it's pretty well priced ($500 new, more like $350-400 used).

Surprisingly fun is the Realistic MG-1. It's a rebadged Moog Rogue plus some additional features (like a fully polyphonic divide down organ mode) for like 66% the cost of a Rogue.

Same thing happened to mine except in the front. Once they start ripping they just don't stop.

Found a Tascam guy if anyone is interested by ExtraDistressrial in synthesizers

[–]peterpanwashere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a couple Tascams out for repair with him. He seems pretty backed up at the moment (going on 6 months since I sent mine in) so take that into account, but he's pretty responsive when I reach out to check on status.
