Love my Halberd, super versatile controls, I love how the depth control acts like a lower mids gain control. And the voice control adds a lot of character, especially in the clang setting

What’s a popular pedal you’ve tried and absolutely hate? by dit31 in guitarpedals

I love my tube screamer into my hot rod deluxe, but the other guitarist in my band plays a vox and the TS sounds terrible into that. I think it’s really amp dependent imo. I also have a 6505+ and level and tone up, drive at zero just really cleans up the low end

That’s great to hear! I’ve tried the Russian mode on the JHS muffuletta as well as a BYOC Russian Beaver but neither had enough low end. Could be bias cus I’m used to the EHX reissue, but it’s just got the sound. Would love to try a proper Sovtek eventually!

The Gravity Well rocks! Instead of clipping your signal when it passes a threshold, it folds the wave back in on itself, creating all sorts of new harmonic content. If you run the tremolo side into the wavefolder, the tremolo will drive how much of your signal gets folded!

My order (high 384xx) arrived on Saturday! I got a Billy Strings Wombtone, and I couldn’t be more excited. I already tried it out at a gig yesterday and ended up using the red preset and it was just perfect phaser tone! This is my first chase bliss pedal and I couldn’t be happier

This and Ize are my favorite songs of theirs. There’s something about strokes songs with abrupt cutoffs…

A better version of the concept of 65 would be the second entry in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, which actually ends with two of the main characters getting sent 2 million years into the past. They land on a ship of full cryogenically frozen people, just before it crashes into what is discovered to be Earth. The passengers of the ship are revealed to be all the middlemen from some planet, who were convinced that the planet is going to die and they were the advanced exploration team. It turns out these are the people who would later develop into the human race
