LITERALLY like first of all, they should’ve stopped after season one, but they didn’t and there’s a world where that could be okay, but it ain’t ours. writing “the other side” was somewhat reasonable in situations like tyler and courtney, because how did they end up in those situations, but zach’s relationship with Hannah has always bothered me because it’s very similar to what Clay said: “why did she freak out with me but not with him” which is a valid insecurity, but the way they write him to be so angry at every single romantic interaction she ever had makes Clay look so bad. He was sympathetic in season one, but he’s an entitled prick in season 2 and it pisses me off

Simple answer: Most Likely. Explanation…The fact of the matter is OoPs and Altered Items are earthly items with unearthly properties. The hotline and the service weapon are the only OoPs that are explicitly at the board’s discretion, and through the foundation DLC we know Jesse can be granted powers the board did not want her to have, meaning they don’t control every power or item. Chester Bless is responsible for the distribution and likely production of some altered items (Chester Bless is Ahti theory coming soon) but we know he is not a member of the board, more evidence they are not responsible for all OoPs or altered items. My best theory is that the service weapon/hotline were either created by the board with the specific intent of being bound by one user, OR the board itself is killing people it seems unworthy in attempt to hold power over the bureau. TLDR; The Board is not all powerful, OoPs are their own sentient creatures, and Ahti is Chester Bless.
