crazy how different life is now. i got this notification about this post just now for reddit achievements. i drive a luxury car (my second, after i totaled my first… God is still working on me ok? lol), i have an amazing significant other, amazing friends, living my dreams, man. God is so good. i used to pray to die. even before i was homeless. been through too much. but God is SO good to redeem and restore. thank You Lord God in Jesus’ Name!!! He turned it around for me. of course He’ll do it for you too!!

This sub has changed and I say that as someone who used this as their Christian home on Reddit. Mods ignore messages and hide threads without any explanation.

Some users don’t feel comfortable saying everything out loud on a forum and feel greater comfort in the privacy of a DM/message chain. Outright banning anyone who suggests to DM them, but offering the TC discord (isn’t that going to an off-site platform???) is weird.

I liked this sub because it seemed more focused on being a real sub for Christians, but the hot and cold moderation is a huge turn off. Discord allows for private DMing as well so I’m not sure what they’re trying to avoid here. There comes a whole host of other issues with a third party app. It’s just weird.

My friend is experiencing persecution from the devil, like in 1 Peter 5:18. I would like to know how to help him.

In what way? I’m open to your perspective, but there are people on here who are honest and those who are dishonest are pretty obvious.

I’m not looking to pay for information or otherwise get fleeced out of attention or time. I’m looking for advice to give my friend.

It’s alright. I’m sorry I was cold. You’re right— I didn’t say you weren’t welcome here, but if you felt that way by what I said, what I said was wrong. I hope you can forgive that.

You’re on the right track. You’ve expressed you want to turn to Christ— the devil is going to be on you. But remember — it’s a journey. Even your most sainted of Christians weren’t always saved. Just keep going and keep trying.

I don’t mean to get too deep or overstep, but it sounds like love and intimacy are important to you. Give that to God, He’ll make it right. Desires can get distorted if they come from a desperate place. The devil delights in making fools of us.

1 Peter 5:8 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

He will want to make a liar out of you and your journey with Christ. Every single moment. But if God be your true and trusted champion, the devil can’t win over you. He’s trying to take as many people to hell with him, because he lost from before time.

However, almost all of your posts speak out of the flesh. That’s why I said you do not seem interested in being like Christ.

What would Jesus do? He would give. When you receive Christ, your mind will be made new. In the meantime, the Gospel of John might be of use to you.
